I'm just wondering, i've seen a lot of people talking about making pumpkin pie oatmeal before but i wasn't exactly sure how to make it? If someone could tell me, that'd be great, thanks!

All I can think of is using instant oatmeal, cooking it up, and then adding a little bit of canned Libbys pumpkin, bit of sugar, and some pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. Sounds simple enough.

1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup water, tsp vanilla + pumpkin pie spice

*microwave for 1 min*

add 1/4-/12 cup pumpkin + raisins (optional- I love raisins in oats)

*microwave for 2 mins*

Hungry girl has a great pumpkin oatmeal that I make quite often...what I use is...

packet of regular instand oatmeal (reg oats would work as well)

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup fiber one original cereal

1/4 cup pure pumpkin

pack of splenda

pumpkin pie spice to taste

squirt of sf maple syrup

Just nuke it all together...so good!

My recipe:

  • 1/3 c oat bran
  • 2/3 c water
  • 1/4 c pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix)
  • 1/8 tsp cloves
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 to 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1-2 tbsp raisins

Add oat bran to water. Pop in microwave for 2 mins or until water is absorbed. Add in the other ingredients and eat.

I make pumpkin oats alll the time. Its my favorite.

1/3 cup 5-grain hot cereal or 1/2 cup oats

2/3-3/4 cup water

Heat in microwave for four minutes.

Stir in 1/2 cup canned pumpkin and some dried cranberries. Heat for another forty to sixty seconds. Top with some brown sugar.

I also add flaked coconut or crushed almonds to mine, makes it super-good.

Thanks everybody! sounds delicious

Yes! The hungrygirl.com recipe that jc24 posted is great!

I use ~2/3c Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze (almond milk) in place of the milk/water, 1/2c whole oats, 2 packs splenda and 1tsp pumpkin pie spice. I also crush the fiber one cereal.

angel- Your recipe sounds good too. i'll have to try it.

Gotta go get some canned pumpkin tonight.

I tried mixing cinnamon with pumpkin puree and oatmeal, it was delicious! I added some vanilla yogurt too and it made it taste even better, so thats a new idea if anyone wants to try it.
