I bought myself a punching bag for Valentines.  Hubby didn't do anything so I am sure you can imagine who's face I see when I am pounding it.  LOL

Anyways is there a site that would give me a good punching bag work-out or do any of you have suggestions.  I use it on alternating days after I do my weight training.

Thanks

Rossboxing.com - Ross Enamait has some really good material on athletic conditioning, including all the heavy bag material you could wish for ;)

Before you start pounding on it too much (or your husband) be sure you have good gloves with wrist support... you'll feel it otherwise.   Actually tape your knuckles and wrist if you go too crazy.  Here is a very good link... for guys or gals...

As in the small area where i live there are no punching bags available i actually lift up my mattress and punch that.

Its an excellent workout, I used to go and learn cambodian boxing with one of the old pros, well.. as he lacked of equipment i had to actually punch in a volley ball.. after only 2 weeks of punching regularly i could clearly see my arms toned and it felt good.

As burkam said, tape your knuckles, i quickly learned to do that as after the first day without taping it actually hurt a LOT.. (got over excited and punched really hard)..

Have fun!!

Note: Valentines day shouldnt be taken so serously it is after all a marketing invention one of the only days where the chocolate, flower and card companies make a tun of money eheheh.. Its quite funny as even in Cambodia now since last year they are really into it but they actually ask flowers from boys and girls, want a red rose from their friends, boss etc... but actually dont really know what is the meaning or the story behind this day.. So this year i must have had like 30 girlfriends and 20 boyfriends ahahh

Thanks for the great advice.  I will checkout some of these sites, do any of you think it would be an issue to do the bag after my weight training work out?  I got Everlast gloves, my hands are small so I went with the youth gloves and also got the martial art gloves, I seem to like the marshal art best except they don't have as much wrist protection as the other gloves.

Sintiachita I understand about the marketing aspect of Valentines, but a few kind words would not have hurt.  I am not so much big on what I get but the feelings that are shown to me and they just weren't there.  The punching bag is a Great stress reliever and I am really glad I got it.

Okay sorry but another quick questions about the wrap, I pretty much work-out by myself so wrapping my own hands sounds like it would be difficult, do they sell anything that could just be slid on the hand under the glove that would offer the same support?

Thanks
