!Purely Positive Posting!
So I had this idea... how about a thread where the ONLY things we post are POSITIVE???
I know we all have our bad days and the need to whine, and be comforted, and helped... and ask questions.. but dieting is AT LEAST 95% mental and we all have our successes...
so maybe coming here to read the successes of others will inspire us all!!!
Rules:
1. Posts do not have to be weightloss/ fitness related (You got an A on a test? Let us know! You're gonna be a grandma??? right here...)
2. Posts cannot end with "I did A but I should have done B." stay positive! Nothing about what you could have done BETTER... pride/happiness/positivity with what has been done.
3. Applauding the achievements of others is just as welcome as telling us your own success.
So... if you have positive vibes to send out to this healthy community.. sucesses to share... POST AWAY! (I know A LOT of you were already very successful today.)
My success today: I lost 2.8 pounds in the August challenge. I did a 60 minute weight training class to celebrate my first day of gym membership.

Tamara,
I love that you started this thread! I know you didn't start it to get accolades, however I checked out your profile and pics, and saw the 2 pics posted recently from one month apart. So my comment is that you look great! I can definitely see a difference in the second picture!
Keep it up... you're an inspiration!

I'm finally a home owner for the first time at age 30 with the love of my life. ( :
I just today discovered the delicious wonder of Laughing Cow light swiss wedges--- I truly enjoy food now vs. just stuffing whatever junk I could to try and fill a now I realize a non-existent hole... I *LOVE* working out -- whether it's walking with my hand weights or wogging with my down the road neighbor's puppy, Bandit, as long as I have my tunes, I always feel 100% more alive when I am done! I enjoy cooking again vs. reheating some crap someone else prepackaged. I can, for the first time in my life, bypass fast food and bad choices overall because I am an informed, concerned consumer who (while terrible at math) has in her arsenal a team of experts and a tight knit group of girls who keep me laughing. What more could a girl ask for? ( ; The number on the scale is shrinking, but more importantly, my decision--that this time was really the last time I was ever going to have to "get healthy" -- has come to fruition and I have a new way of living my life that will keep paying off LONG after my weight loss journey has ended. And isn't that what we all strive for?
Oh happy day!

Awesome idea! You thoughtful person, you!
- My husband got hired today after three months of serious job hunting! Hurray! My car broke down on Tuesday and I thought it would cost $2000 but instead, it's $1200. Hurray! I lost two pounds since starting three weeks ago and today I got to eat what I've been wanting the whole time: pizza. Plus, we're going to go see Star Dust tonight and I'm very excited, not to mention we're walking! You guys rock.

I cut 2 minutes off my run time today around a lake and on some mountain trails; it was lightening and getting ready to rain; maybe had something to do with it?

I wanted to share something with whoever might be up right now.
I just took Amber to work, and as I was taking her I felt compelled to go a different way than usual, so I did. I didn't think anything more about it. I dropped Amber off at work, and then went home the way I usually go. On the way, on the other side of the highway, over a half mile stretch, there must have been at least 10 emergency vehicles. I saw at least one car turned completely over. I don't know what all happened, but I firmly believe that God spared me from being involved in that, which looked like it had happened just recently (like when I would have been going throught there), by leading me to go the other route. Thank God for His leading in our lives!
