Awesome!!! You are on the right track. I am so glad you decided to post again.
If I need protein, I eat a can of tuna mixed with a cup of fat-free cottage cheese. I don't know if you'll like this mixture, but I love tuna and cottage cheese. Chicken is another good choice. I'm sure others will have good suggestions as well. I usually don't have a problem with protein because I eat a lot of chicken, lean beef and tuna.
Good luck and we're here to help you make healthy, life-long choices!!!

tahnks, yeah, I've tried canned chiken couse it's 98% fat free and obviously has lots of protien. what do you think about protien shakes, just curious, are they worth it?

Hey, Alex, would you mind terribly cutting and pasting your posts into Word, first? your posts are hard to read because your spelling is so bad, and I can't tell if its on purpose or not. Either way, it take me two read throughs to figure out what you're saying.
Hey, I have a question, not to be rude at all, but how old are you? Just wondering.
Anywho, first off- in order to put on any muscle, your body has to have enough overall food to supply your organs then the left over goes to other purposes.
Second of all,
Carbs go to the metabolism, they are burned fastest and give energy.
Protein goes to building and repairing muscles.
and Fats are a good source of energy for weight training.
All are necassary to put on muscle when you have enough of them
Eggs, chicken, turkey, tuna, milk are all good sources of protein. But no food actually "makes" muscle. The only way to make muscle is to eat enough and weight lift and/or weight resistance.

My old trainer used to always tell me to eat a good portion of protein 1 1/2-2 hours before working out and to make sure to eat something with sugar with it. You need a little sugar to help digest the protein. So, I eat 4 egg whites with 1/2 a banana for breakfast before I work out. the other 1/2 of banana I wrap in foil and put in the freezer for desert later.
I'm 16. thanks for giving me advise! :) and sorry about the spelling, I'll check it for future use

Alwayz - are you a nutritionist? Because you should be. For only being 17, your posts are so informative and insightful. I learn something new from you every day.
And Alex - I wasn't going to read the last post because it was depressing me. If you are serious about getting healthy - post all you want because the members here like to help. If not one else can help you, Alwayz can!!!

lol no aclayton I'm not, but thanks. I just know how to use the internet and I have some information based on Health class- *gasp* schools actually teaching something relavent? Shocking I know :P lol.. thanks :D
my trainer always told me to eat protien after my weight work outs - canned white tuna / eggs (i use an egg substitiute) / chicken / even beef jerky - all sources of good protien- but weight resistance is going to build your muscles - along with a good diet plan:)
