P90X

Quote  |  Reply

Been hearing a lot about P90X and I wanted to know how many of you have tried it?  How well did it work?  I'm thinking about starting it and I wanted some opinons before I shell out $140.

Also I work and go to school full time so how long are the daily workouts?  I'd like to devote myself fully to it but I know better than to think that I'm going to have more than an hour a night to work out.  Even that long is pushing it.

There is no doubt that if you follow the P90X routine you will get into way better shape but if you dont already work out then you dont want to start with this.  Each routine is really hard and they take alot of time... you have to be able to dedicate at least and hour and half to it a night.  I would get another video first because its easy to get it discouraged by P90X.

Heydarcypalane,

My husband bought us P90X and I like it.  It's worth it if you stick with it.

My co-workers started seeing the loss on me.  My problem is my cranky neighbor below me how complains about everything including me walking around.  (This is their first year in an apartment, a bunch of us are weighting for them to move out)

If you can find a space to do it in and stick to it, get it.  I really liked it.  Tony says feel the pain-its a good pain.  It is, I loved it.

I agree with ashtenml though, if you aren't used to working out then this is not the best option to start with.

I would go on a long walk everyday for a week to get yourself used to moving around.

I recently joined this website and I have to tell you that I don't think P90X is the route to go. I don't know if you have seen the infomercial about Turbo Jam but I bought their DVDs about a year ago and never got around to using them because I didnt have motivation but about three months ago I busted them back out and got my butt in gear and started working out to the DVDs about 5 days a week and I have lost 33 pounds in a little over 3 months now.

So if you are thinking about buying one of those infomercial work out videos... Turbo Jam is definately the way to go. Go to BeachBody.com and search for Turbo Jam and you can find out more about it.

It comes w/ six different workouts and they range from 20 min to almost an hour. They are cardio/kickboxing type thing and one weight sculpting workout. The people aren't annoying like the majority of workout videos. You get the DVDs, handweights, and a work out resistance band (tubing), a diet & an excercise plan guide for 3 payments of $20 bucks.

Definately worth it if you stick to the videos and eat healthy! You will see the pounds fall off like me. Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the advice ladies!  I decided to go with the P90X and today was my first offical day.  I can barely walk now but I'm hoping each day I'll see some improvement.

I love the P90X workout.. I am glad you chose it.. It isnt that time consuming no more than 1.5 hours a day and yes it will kick your butt... Good luck with it.. I have done it off and one for about a year now.. yes regretfully I have not yet completed an entire course through, but what I did do was amazing...even though I have not used it to its full potential I feel it is the best 150 I have ever sp0ent..good luck darcy

I love P90X it is an excellent workout! The first month was killer. It really helped me kick the winter blues and get it great shape for my trip to Thiland. I haven't done a work out with P90X since last winter but I am starting again next week. Good Luck. Money well spent.
