I am about to start p90x and was curious which program people are doing. I know that there are the classic, doubles, and lean versions but I haven't completely decided which I should do.
Which do you guys do? And how have your results been with each?
It probably depends on where you are currently at and what you are trying to achieve.. I mean, for me I started doing the lean because it says thats the one where you will lose the most fat. If you don't have much fat to lose and just want to tone and get stronger then one of the other programs probably would work better. I only started about 4 weeks ago.. So far I have lost 5 pounds and 4.5 inches. I am noticing differences in my bodies shape. Its looking more toned. And I have definetly gained strength. I started out doing push-ups girl style and am now able to do 15 reps normal style. I also started out using a small stool for the pull-up bar and still use it occasionally, but also can now pull myself up 5-10 reps without it. So obviously Im in love with p90x and can't wait to see my final results after 90 days of butt kicking.
Best of luck to you!!!
I think whichever one you pick, if you give 100% you will see results. It is a kick ass workout. Take the fitness test then make your choice...
Hi tm,
I am on week 7 of the classic version. I have definitely gained some 'bulk', but I have also way leaned out as well. Number-wise I have lost a total of 11lbs so far (I am not following the Nutrition guide). I don't mind the muscle, but a lot of gals avoid that so they stick with the lean version. It is, as wesmckean so eloquently put it, a kick ass workout whether you do the lean or the classic or the double. It may be good to start slow with the lean. If you want more of a challenge, switch it up!
Good luck!
