P90X users...for 10lb weight loss goal, do I do Lean or Classic?
So I just bought and got the touted P90X DVD collection, and am excited to get started. I'm having trouble deciding whether to do the classic or the lean version. Lean seems like fewer workouts overall (ab ripper just twice per week vs. 3 with classic?). If I'm going to commit to this much of a lifestyle change, I want to be doing to one that will give me the best and quickest results. I'm 5'6, 144ish, fairly "muscelly" but have some fat I'd like to lose.

Either will give you weight loss, given you have a deficit while you use it.
If you're more comfortable with cardio and less strength training, go for Lean.
I say for better results and a tougher routine, go Classic. :)
Definitely start with the Classic. I started with the Classic and got good results, as far as muscle definition. However, I did not lose any weight. I stopped counting calories and went completely on their diet. Again, I didn't lose any weight. When my 90 days were up, I thought I would try the lean version thinking that it would help me lose weight, wrong. In fact I gained weight. In order to keep my weight down now I have to do an extra half hour of cardio everyday on top on the lean version, plus I've gone back to counting calories. So if I were you I would follow their diet but continue to count your calories, do the classic version and do as much extra cardio as you can. Hope this helps. ![]()
I started with the lean thinking I didn't wanna bulk up but I had been working harder b4 starting that and the lean wasn't a challenge for me and so I switched to classics. Classic is working out much better. So far I have lost 8 lb's in 6 weeks. everything is getting tighter and my abs look amazing even after having 2 kids. So I would go with the Classic.
I would definetly go classic. You won't bulk up, especially if you do the 12-15 reps in the routines.
Classic can definitely give you the results you are looking for. I've eaten at a deficit for the entire duration and I've dropped 24 pounds in 87 days. More importantly, I've dropped my body fat% from 25 to 17.
