Quaker Oats vs. Kashi- Here we go on oatmeal, again

Quote  |  Reply
I cannot decide if I prefer Kashi Go Lean or Quaker Oats Weight Control Oatmeal...

QO- 160 cals, 7g protien, 3 g fat
KGL- 150, 9g, 2g

Kashi looks like a better deal but it's SOOO runny... I can't get it to thicken up. So it's only about 1/2 as satisfying and filling at QO...

What do you guys prefer? Other suggestions?

I've tried both of those and I prefer other varieties...the Quaker low sugar oatmeal (although it maybe doesn't have quite as much protein and/or fiber) or the kashi go lean cereal, which is excellent on both fiber and protein
I love both!  I actually eat 2 packets of oatmeal at a time and I mix one packet of quaker and one packet of kashi together.

Quaker Banana Bread and Kashi Honey Cinnamon is my favorite combo.

When I had the Kashi GoLean Truly Vanilla for the first time my reaction was it was really runny and kinda chalky tasting.

But the next time I made it I only used about 1/2 cup water instead of the suggested 2/3 cup. I also mixed it with 1/4 cup quaker instant oats cooked on the stove. Totaled out to 225 cal and it was alot thicker and not so chalky or sweet.

i eat the QWC oatmeal and i like it... i mix it with skim milk, so yummy!

to make my kashi oatmeal less runny i use less water and cook it a little longer.
