Quesion about "next day" calories

Last night after a great workout and eating a balanced breakfast and lunch, I just could not seem to get hungry last night. I did eat, but not a full dinner (I had a piece of pita bread, hummus and cucumbers).

This did not get me to my 1500 calories that I am supposed to get for the day. So my question is, should I add a couple hundred more calories today? This is a non-workout day for me, but should I bump it up to 1700 or so to make up for the lower deficit yesterday, or just keep on track from here?

Just continue on normal.  One day of 1300 instead of 1500 calories is no big deal.

You might find that you are actually a little more hungry today, and if so, feel free to have an extra couple hundred. If not, it'll all even out in the long run.

But if it becomes a trend (undereating on workout days), you'll probably want to adjust things to make sure you are getting enough.

Some lucky people in this world find that working out (running, long periods of intense cardio, etc) suppresses the appetite. I wouldn't worry too much about the extra deficit but if it becomes a regular thing, you might want to change your approach. Reducing calories too far, particularly when working out regularly, is a bad idea. You need your nutrients! 

 

That does seem to be something that I am running into. After a good workout, I have a really hard time getting hungry. Last night I did just have to sit down and make myself eat some dinner.

I work out after work, so would it be a good idea to eat more calories at lunch, and that way if I just want a little snack for dinner, I am still getting enough calories?
