On a quest for the illusive gap between the thighs - (closed)

Quote  |  Reply

I am currently 190.5lb 5ft8/9 tall  with thighs measuring 25 inches each(well at least they are symetrical, the only good thing I can say about them)

I am creating this topic in order for us to share tips on how you have/intend to get that illusive gap. And for people to share how successful their methods have been/ are being so far.

My strategy

1) lose weight, I am losing weight at a rate of 2lbs a week and have been for a while now and hope to stick with it.

2) excercise bike, I plan to up the amount of time that I spend on my exercise bike and if the weather is good(I am from the UK so I don't hold much hope) then go cycling outside aswell.

I will try this for a while and will post my thigh measurements(and weight) each week.

And out of curiosity, if there is any of you lucky people out there with "the gap" how small did your thighs have to be to get it?

Come join me in my QUEST !!!

I know what you are talkign about! I have pretty much given up on it though.  Even at 140 (tiny for me) I didn't have a gap.  I blame it on my musclar legs though.  Most of my friends are suprised when I tell them that I wear a size 11/12 jeans

Sounds like a reasonable plan! I hope this works for you -- Want to keep a thread going with measurements and weight loss, perhaps weekly or bi-weekly?

I've always been on the thinner side but have "thunder thighs" as my mom has so affectionately put it. I'd love to find a way to slim them down a bit.

What's your time-line?

My thighs are just under 20" but I didn't measure them when I first noticed the rub was gone so they had to have been slightly bigger than that. I'm 6'1" though so my normal people can't usually go by my freakish measurements. Tongue out

I think I have a little hope, I fit into a UK size 14L at the moment and although my legs are fairly muscly there is still a lot of fat to go from them. I would settle for them not destroying all my trousers.

HAHAHAHAHA WHAT A GREAT TOPIC!!!!!

I'm close!  I will join the quest!!!  Mine are pretty big I think but I'm not sure how big.

So how should we do this? Weekly measurement and weigh-in or something to keep track?

I don't want to take the reins, as it wasn't my post!

Etahbear, we're both in Oregon. Fancy, that!

I weigh in on thursdays, so I guess thats is a good day to measure aswell and for us all to say what we have been doing to reduce the thighs.

I am currently typing this whilst on my excercise bike....it isn't as easy as it sounds

Impressive! I should get myself something like that to do indoors. I live in Oregon, and the rainy season is just beginning. Which is essentially the end of the world, as it won't be dry again until next July.

Thursdays it is! Now I just have to get a scale in my house. And find a measuring tape.

I want to be completely done by april 9th(my 23 bday) but anything before that and I will be jumping for joy.

I would let you borrow mine but I think I might be a little too far away

Nice! I never meet anyone from Oregon on here. I was beginning to think I was the only person in the state on a diet.

My husband made me a laptop stand that he attached to my stationary bike and that's how I lost most of my weight. You should feel my thighs and glutes, they're like rocks. You can tell I've logged a LOT of hours online. Ha, what a loser I am.

Early April is great. My weight loss goal is for the end of March (also my birthday).

Let the quest begin!

P.S. Etah, that's awesome! If I had the money I think I'd get an elliptical and then figure out a way to get online whilst doing that.

My laptop balances unless i get a little over enthusiastic and then it all goes tumbling. Congrats on your weight loss!!!

 voice activation???

Okay, so I don't think that its solely thighs, but rather, probably more of a thigh-to-hip ratio. I'd be interested in seeing that though... my thighs are... 25.25 inches, and my hips are 41.5

My hips are like exactly 36, while my thighs are 22 each.  *sobs*  So big!!!

I'm probably somewhere around that for hips, but I have a recollection that my thighs were around 24.

Silly genetics ... How dare you!

I would love to be in. I am from Texas and I want to finally get the weight off. I hate my thighs and would love to have any type of gap between them. I am thinking if I join a group like this and have to actually show people my measurements I will finally stick to a diet. lol.

hey! another texan here. i'd like to join too. but just promise me you won't throw me out if i miss a "measure-in" week here or there.
