After eating a higher amount of calories consistently during weight gain, does your metabolism build back up and get faster? Meaning...after eating around 2,500 calories a day after eating much less previously, should I increase it even more past 2,500 because of a possible metabolism increase?

i'm not sure i understand your question. if you stop gaining on 2500 then increase. if you want your metabolism back up to speed then yes it's optimal to gain on a higher amount. restoring your weight should be your number one concern though.
I was just asking if its typical for metabolisms to speed up after increasing your calories (coming from a low amount of calorie intake) for a certain period of time.

I tend to ask the "same questions over and over" because maybe I need an extra reminder that it's okay for me to eat this much. My brain is still in somewhat of an ED mode, so it's still hard for me increase my calorie intake. Posting here gives me that extra confidence to get me through the day. Sorry if I'm bothering you all.

i understand that .its ok dont worry . i think it all depends on alot of things age activity level how hungry you are . if you are gaining on 2500 and not over exercising and hungry all the time you are probably ok continuing . but if your weight gain has slowed down, and you are feeling you need more you should increase .it certainly isnt going to do any harm and you metabolism will act accordly . good luck . you dont need to apologise you are working really hard h x
Goldenboy are you a boy? If so you need to be at 3000 for the min. Many do go hyperbolic so it is going to depend. As a lady I have needed op 3500 a day and ip I did 4500. This is no activity. It is ok and I know it is hard to look within and see that. Take 1 day at a time and try to think of what you would tell others in your shoes. There is no reason to drag this out as it will always be hard so you may as well do it now so your body and mind can heal
i understand your asking of questions on here. im exactly where you are in that ED is still diff lingering in my ear but everytime i get on this site im like, yes eat, i can do this. keep asking questions!
