I joined the gym a few days ago and have been going each day.  I've been finding after I do a work out, I find that my stomach really hurts.  Can anyone shed any light on why this might be happening?

couple of questions:

  1. What are your stats?
  2. how long are you working out for?
  3. Have you ever worked out at a gym before?
  4. Are you working your abdominals? ie doing situps, crunches, etc?
Muscle pain or 'tummy ache' type pain?

In response to your questions,

 1. I'm 155cm (5' 1") and 62kgs (136 lbs), I'm a female.

2. I've been working out for nine months.

3. I hadn't ever worked out in a gym before.

4. I am working my abdominals.

5.  It's like a tummy ache type pain.
