It's probably due to exercising alot. Athletes and runners usually have this happen to them as well. You should probably discuss it with your doctor to be on the safe side.
most likely due to the exercise -- it happened to me. you should go see your gynocologist, just to be sure, but there's probably nothing to worry about. if you go on birth control, you should get it back.
This isn't really normal.
Exercising alot could be the culprit -- but you have to exercise ALOT to throw your body into amenorrhea (loss of the menstrual cycle) --- it's not uncommon in bodybuilders or some professional athletes, but if you're just working out in the gym a few days a week then it's unlikely.
That said -- if you've DRASTICALLY changed your routine over the last month and a half it could be messing with your hormones as well. Ditto if you're now living with another woman who's on a different cycle (this would happen when I lived with roommates - we'd end up on similar cycles).
Otherwise, it could be just one of those things ----- I'm not on BC or anything now and sometimes things are just off-timing... it happens.
If you're really worried, or you think it's because of a lifestyle change, I'd go see the doctor - or at least call if you have a nursing line to ask such questions of.

that means that you've missed 2 cycles already?
My daughter took up running, and did some pretty intensive training for it, and her cycle didn't stop. Based on that, I don't think you should assume it's the increased physical activity.
One thing that can cause a woman's cycle to stop is having too low a percentage of body weight. You didn't say how much you weigh, or your calorie intake. It might be diet related.
If it's not -- if you are not already thin and just trying to get thinner - then you definitely should go see a doctor. Better safe than sorry.

i hadn't had mine since august, because being pregnant wasn't a worry either, so i went to the gyno and my doctor put me on a low dose birth control. I have been on it for a month and just got my period, so thats an option if it gets to be awhile.
I exercise a lot and eat a lower calorie diet, so they thought that it was because of this. The exercise part more. if you have a low body fat % you also will have trouble mensturating.
hope this helps! :)

well i started working out really hard, like every since day for 3 weeks...then learned i needed one rest day a week. so i exercise every other day doing at least 30 min of intense cardio, and on the other non cardio days i do resistance training. also i switched my foods greatly, i eat super healthy now, started at about 1200, but didn't want to go into starvation mode with all the exercise so i upped to about 1400. I am 5'4 and now weigh 130, but started at 140 jan 1. does that help?
i know someone who is an athlete and she gets her period every three months or so. i don't know if that's normal or healthy, but i'm just saying that there are others like that.
Sometimes stressors can cause this. Things like moving - death in the family - loss of a friend or even just being on vacation or something.
I would go to the dr just to make sure there isn't some other reason.
