Question about maintaining my weight Please awnser!!

ok so if I am maintaining on 1700-1900 calories does that mean that i always make sure i get to 1700 but don't go over 1900? of course there are cheat days, when i will eat chocolate and go over 1900, and work out days when i might want 1900. anyways just wondering:)~erica

I try to think like a kid. I've read that kids before the age of 4 naturally regulate their intake. If they have a heavy breakfast, they balance with a light lunch, etc.

If you have a hi-cal day, make the next day lower. Even then, if indulging isn't habitual, there is no need to compensate at all. A hi-cal day can rev your metabolism.

So, I think you should try stay in your range and only compensate if you feel you've indulged too often that week.

 this would work if my hunger cues worked but there kind of supressed today i got to lik 1400 cal. then when i came home i calculated and thats way under my recomendation of 1900 so i went in the kitchen and had beans and a cup of milk hopefully my hunger will be restored soon. i had to eat more cause i ran today and had work so i knew 1400 isnt enough my bmr is 1300 anyways, lol thnx~erica

idk what ur eating but to trigger ur appetite, sometimes starting to eat will help.

1400 is WAY too little, u need to nourish+fuel urself!

r u active?

1300 if u stayed in bed all day!

 i got to like 1850 calories today I eat alot of healthy stuff, and i don't eat alot of meat, i eat mostly vegetarian so its hard to get to 1900 for me. I was not hungry for the milk or the beans but i had to get more then 1400 cal. seriously!

heres what i ate today

greek yogurt with total cereal

soymilk

snack-almonds 24 kernals (1/4 cup)

lunch half- cup of rice 1 cup red beans

1 cup orange juice

banana muffin

dinner-1 cup mash potatoes

1 apple

came home and realized i didnt eat enough yet so...

2nd dinner

1 cup red beans

1 cup of milk

and total cal..1815, still not 1900

so its hard to get that many wen i don't eat any meat

wheres the bread? eat whatever u want, have some treats, chips, cookies, not much fats either.

 bread lol, i dunno i didnt feel like eating a sandwich today~erica ps. theres fat in the food

You are mostly vegetarian, but where's the vegetables? I didn't see anything green in your diet. In fact, there's not much color at all. I'd be more concerned about balanced nutrients than total calories - the rest would follow.

Dinner was mashed potatoes and an apple? I'm hungry just reading this! Do you snack at all?

 hi, we don't have any veggies at my house right now, usually i eat alot of vegtables cause i love them! i just upped my cal last week cause i realized i wasn't eating enough so now i am eating 1700-1900, depending if i sit around all day or excersize. yeasterday i had to snack alot to get to 1900, like when i got home from work i realized i hadnt gotten enough food so i had dinner again lol, and yesterday after breakfast i had a mid morning snack of almonds, so i have been snacking lately. i think my hunger is just broken and im trying to fix it by eating more~erica
