Question about scales and daily eating..please help!!
Hi , I'm 20 years old and I'm 5'11", and on Tuesday I weighed in at 167 pounds. Then Tuesday night I had a few hot dogs and a burger and chips, and then Wednesday I had 4 cupcakes, ice cream, 2 donuts, and a pzone at pizza hut. When I weighed in today, which is Thursday I weighed 173 pounds. Will that weight come off or does it stay on? I also ran 4 miles on the elliptical afterwards?...someone help
I honestly don't think you would've gained a true 6 lbs in that amount of time. I would go to bet that you gained MAYBE 1 lb and the rest of that is water weight because of all the sodium in all of that processed food. Over the next few days drink a lot of water (like you should be doing anyway) to flush your system and see if that helps.

don't worry about her...u kno how negative nancy's can be. I don't know the answer to your question but I also wonder the same things. I think unless you were eating an insane amount of food those few days its probably mostly water weight.
There are a lot of different reasons for water retention..do an google search. There are also a lot of threads on this forum that discuss this very issue.
It mostly water. While you might experience a fraction of a pound in weight gain unless you've overeaten by a considerable amount you will not have gained much.
Daily weighing even when you do everything exactly as you should has a great deal of fluctuation.
