Question about setting my activity level on my account ...
I know it seems like it should be cut & dry, but I'm having a hard time determining at what to set my activity level on my account. As I know this is what determines my burn rate, I want it to be accurate.
Here's where I'm at: I have an office job where I'm at a desk all day (up & down some, but nothing major) and then I use my treadmill 3-5 times per week for 30-40 minutes alternating with running for one minute on a 1% incline, walking 2 on anywhere from a 4% - 10% incline. Then, I do exercises on an exercise ball, and sets up push-ups & some 10 lb free weights for my arms & upper body about 3 times per week. So, do I choose Light Activity or Moderate Activity for my account details?
Also, in another week or two, I'll start trail running/hiking anywhere from 1-4 miles (with some VERY steep hills in there) 3-5 times per week and keep the ball exercises & free weights going. Once I do this, will I increase my activity to Very Active?
Thanks in advance!
Marie
You could set it at sedentary and log all those exercise sessions. This works best if you are inconsistant with exercise. Or you could set it higher allowing for things you definitely do without fail each day, and log any extra workouts. That would save a lot of logging. By all means, consider increasing that to Very Active when you begin the more rigorous regimen.
Good idea! Thanks!
