So, I'm aiming for 1200 calories a day. I'm not very strict when it comes to working out, but on the days that I do, if I burn 400 calories, do I have to eat 1600?

Also, How much water is too much? I'm drinking about 6-7 litres a day.

1200 is a general number, please use the tools on here to determine your base requirement of calories.   Then determine what amount below that number is a good target for you.  It should not be lower than 1000 calories per day.  Then any additional exercise must be offset with additional calaories
how do you drink so much water??

i can't get past 4 litres, and even that is difficult...
You have to be careful with consuming large amounts of water in a short period of time. And also, you need to make sure that your sodium levels don't get too low, very low levels can cause just as many problems as very high levels.

And yes, if you exercise, you will need to consume more calories to compensate for that extra expenditure.
lisette, basically, I drink 1L before work in the morning, 1 throughout the workday, 1L when I get home. Depending on what I do that night, If I just sit around watching T.V I always have between 1-2L or if I work out instead it's at least 1L. Then always another litre before bed. If I have the day off, like today, I just have a bottle of water next to me at all times, it's only 5:30 here and I've already had 5L, but I am worried about sodium levels, and other problems leading from drinking too much water (which I never knew existed before!!). Do I have to cut myself off for today?! Haha
maybe your water drinking won't lead to too many problems, but why do you feel like you need to drink that much? is it really that your body needs that much water or are you sort of... obsessively drinking water because it's supposed to suppress your appetite?

i've been drinking a lot of water these days too. it's cuz i'm sick though... and i constantly feel dehydrated... i just had like 300mL and my lips and throat still feel so dry :(
