Quick concentrated protein for today?
I want to boost up my protien for today without adding too much fat or carbs...Is there any snack that could do this? I have Reg PB (not the natural stuff yet), Sunflower seeds, all kinds of nuts, cheeses, yogurts etc... but everything seems to not have enough protien for the calories...Can anyone help me out?? Thanks.
Fat fee greek yogurt or cottage cheese.

cottage cheese, lean chicken or ham, south beach protein bars...i always have trouble getting my protein in without these...
Egg whites or perhaps even the entire egg?
I 2nd the Egg Whites idea. All absorbable protein. Little pam 4 to 5 egg whites, boom, you're good.
The other issue I'm having, is even with all the H2O and fiber (Fruit and Veg) I'm still bogged up. Any ideas?
protein - milk, egg whites, fatfree cheese, canned tuna (in water, light or ffree); fiber - high fiber cereal (lots of cereals), nature's own double fiber bread (any whole wheat bread but this is worth a little more $$), apple w/ skin, peas...

My doc told me that can also be caused by not eating enough dietary fats. If you have started a new diet and cut out a lot of fat, try reintroducing some healthy fats, like olive oil or avocado.
It is also a possible side effect of some meds, even ones you wouldn't suspect, like SSRIs.
too much with not enough water compared to the fiber you are taking will clog you up. l don't know if the the flavored and colored water counts as water though.
Theholla_ My mom told me the same thing and suggested a couple Olives (yuck...I may get an avacado though) I am on quite a few meds from blood thinners-SSRI's... Thanks for the insite!!!
I don't usually put my water on my log, because I drink it all day long...and I don't dig the flavor ones (oh, I see, I put H2O above... I was just shortening the word water! lol...) ...
I did tuna at lunch and that did great for upping my protein today! :)

I agree with this, for adding in more healthy fats. I intake about 40g of fiber and 8 glasses of water a day and still had some 'issues.' after increasing my fat intake with the same fiber and water, it's made a HUGE difference. My first meal of the day is egg whites with avocado and pepper.
