I'm in a long distance relationship that is about to end december 14th when i move home from school. (the long distance part...not the relationship.) When I started dating my boyfriend I was about 5lbs thinner... and a lot toner. I want to drop the extra weight before I see him again. Not for him, but also because I felt the best i've ever felt about myself when i was that weight. He's seen me since, but I want to look extra good this time because its for good when I get back. I've been going to the gym as much as I can, (3-5 times a week) but i only have time to be there for an hour or so (full time student and full time employee)
Any advice on what is the best way to eat when I'm so busy and on a tight budget??
when i'm that busy i usually try to have with me fruits sush as apples or bananas or raisins. i also try to prepaire easy to sandwichs (e.g two slices of bread and tuna or turkey). try to drink as much water as possible. maybe you can eat yogurt (small cans are quite portable!). try to have with you simple food low in fat!
Every morning, I have a 1 cup Rubbermaid container I fill with nuts and eat throught he day. Nuts are good for you, keep you full longer than fruit due to the protein and fat levels. I like this suggestion :)
I always have boiled eggs on hand as the protien keeps me full while I'm doing all my running around.
When I was a full time student and had a full time job I ate a lot of fruits. Every time I was on the go and wanted a snack I would just grab an apple or banana or something. Yogurg makes a great snack too. I had instant oatmeal for breakfast a lot because it's fast, easy, and filling. I also ate a lot of sandwiches. My favorite are hummus w/cucumber and lettuce or turkey on whole wheat. If you like veggie burgers, boca burgers are really good with some low fat cheese on a whole wheat bun. If you have to stop somewhere I would stick to getting a salad with the dressing on the side and maybe some grilled chicken.
I don't think he'll be bothered by 5 pounds. :P
But, just eat healthy, exercise. Try to eat about 1500 calories for a while until you reach your goal.
Don't eat instant! All the goodness is processed out! Try this....1/4 cup dry Quaker Oats, sprinkle a TINY bit of salt on and put in about 1/2 cup water. Microwave on high for 1 minute, stir and then micro for another 10 to 15 seconds. Stir again and then another 10 seconds (+ or -) If its not thick enough for you, do it again. The whole process taks about a minute and a half. Then here's the really yummy part....sprinkle with ButterBuds, cinnimon, nutmeg.....whatever kind of spices you like and then just a squrit of sugar free carmel syrup (like they use at StarBucks).....YUMMMMMMMMMMM! It makes a half cup cooked, and is just 75 calories.
Remember to eat some egg whites (protien) with your carbs!
WOW, THATS SOUNDS REALLY YUMMY
THAT WILL DEINITLY WORK FOR ME IN THE MORNINGS
THANKS!
