they say you should only weigh yourself once a week at the same time in the same clothes.I think this is true as your weight can fluctuate so much day to day and to do this would and can mean only disappointment in the long run.
So i would say once a week is the best rule

If your period is due in a week then right around now is when you get bloated. Drink gallons of water during your period and weight next weekend, right before July 4th
thanks to both of you!! i shall do what ya say. cheers!

I weigh every day (yeah, I know, I'm not supposed to) right after I get up in the morning. I figure as long as the trend is downward, it's all good and then I can point at this week (TTOTM for me) and say "see? It's just being bloated and water weight and overall ickyness that comes with being female." And then I get to watch it drop off (I hope).

i weight myself everyday. Everyone is different and this way workes for me. I know that 1 week before my period is due, my weight does not go down. Since I loose about 1-2 lbs. per week, during the that time of the month, I do not loose any weight but 4 days after my period starts, I go down 2-3 lbs. Weighing myself everyday gave me a chance to figure out my body without freaking out about my slow weight loss. also, I can tell if I had too much sodium because the following morning I weigh 2 lbs. more but after drinking lots of water all day, I weight less that night.
I guess it's different for everyone. Do what you feel confortable with.

tiamat, weighing yourself every day is a habit of people who lose weight and keep it off, so I say *tththththt* to whoever says we're not supposed to. I've weighed myself every day for the last 3 years. I have it posted in a spreadsheet. Keeps me motivated. It's what got me on here, because I couldn't figure out why I wasn't losing the 5 lbs that crept on over the last year.
because I weigh myself every day I know my weight fluctuates typically 1 1-2 to 2 pounds within a week. If I only weighed once a week I'd never know if that day was a 2# up day or a 2# down day!

thank you so much for asking this question lol...i was just wondering the EXACT same time
I weigh myself everyday. The weight goes up a bit, down a bit, up and down but it always goes down more after about 5 days I am finding.
I weigh myself first thing in the AM in my underwear after I take a trip to the bathroom. The whole controversy concerning daily or weekly weigh ins is a personal choice I think. As long as you keep in mind your weight will go up and down and don't get freaked out I don't think daily weigh ins are bad.
I will admit watching it go up and down can be a bit frustrating but that had more to do with my unrealistic expectations. After 6 weeks I've accepted a slow steady pace of weight loss. Because I am confident doing it this way will ensure I can keep it off.

I have heard serveral times to weigh yourself once a week at the same time everyday as posted already, however Your true and lowest body weight is at around 8 am in the morning before you have consumed anything!!
wake up, pad my way to the bathroom rubbing my eyes like a 6 year old, pee, on the scale.
if I forget (which I don't very often since it's a daily habit) I skip that day instead of weighing later in the day.
