Quick Poll - Sunless Tanners - best?

Quote  |  Reply
I need some suggestions for a sunless tanner for face and body, pref. the same brand, that can be bought at a drug store.

I'm EXTREMELY fair, I am not looking for a deep tan, just a smidge of color.

I have normal to oily skin, what would work best?

Give me some testimonials! XD

Hello.  I'm very fair and have been afraid of sunless tanner because I didn't want to get too dark and look weird.  I just wanted my legs to be less like an albino.  I've used Coppertone tanner.  They make several products but the one I like is a foam.  I can't remember the exact name.  It looks like 2 bottles joined in the center.  When you pump the dispenser, a white and a pink foam come out and you apply them together.

The reason I like this one is that it comes in a light/medium which gives me some color, but not so dark that I look fake or have to reapply so often.  It dries quicker than some other brand too.  Good luck.
I use the Vasaline lotion with toner in it. I am fair skinned but I accidently bought the medium tone and it makes my legs look great but I would stick with the fair tone one. It makes your legs very silky as well. Just rub it in pretty well all over and also wash your hands afterwards. I have to apply it about every 3 days and make sure you put it on, on non shave days as I heard it can streak. It gives me that tan look as if I had been to the beach and layed out.

Good luck.
I went to tanning salon yesterday and talked to them. I have to go to a wedding and don't want to look orange. I'm having them spray me, (not a booth) by hand. $25.00 it's a bronze color . Maybe check into that. I'm going June 11, can't wait. (edit) they match your coloring.
gypsierose - Please let me know how the spray works out.  I've been curious about it.  I'm EXTREMELY fair-skinned, as nocturne stated she is.  I dislike being pale when everyone around me seems to look as though they spent two weeks in the Bahamas!
I've been using both Jergen's firming and Olay.  There is an Olay that also contains sunscreen I use on my arms and neck.  I use the jergens on legs.

My kids have both done the spray on tans by those salons - they didn't like it.  It streaked their sheets and ruined the clothes they wore for the 2 days after
Neutrogena micromist is hard to mess up. I have had a lot of success with it.
I like Jergen's "Natural Glow" lotion - they make a tube for faces and a tube for bodies. It takes a few applications to see any color at all which is good because it wont turn you bright orange, you get more control over the color. Plus, they make a Fair, Medium and Dark version (I use fair).

My only complaint, is that if you dont go wash it off after about 2 hours, the cover-up fragrance fades and that stinky self-tanner smell starts to develop...so plan to be near a shower.
dbackerfan, was that the booth tan? The one where you go in stand and turn?  Or was it the one they hand spray?  Need to know cuz I have this schedule 4 days before I leave for a vacation. I getting the one where they customize It and hand spray.
