Eye cream for anti-wrinkle and anti-puffiness? I'm in my late twenties and I was told to start seriously taking care of my skin :D

I love lancome' and estee lauder products I have been using them since I was in my early 20's Im now 30 and they really do make your skin look younger and more refreshed if used daily.
I like MaryKay Triple Action Eye Enhancer - it really helps when my eyes are looking a little tired :)
COSTCO...I read that you can use any facial lotion for your eyes but that the specialty creams are a bit lighter.
So I went to buy this Chanel "Rectifiance intense eye" cream. It's like $70 CAD. Better work on my I's!!

:)
Some cool beans Avon product (they've been advertising it a lot on television lately) but only because it smells pretty.  I'm too young to see wrinkles yet so I can't tell you if it works.
I use Oil of Olay and love it.

Taking care of your skin is great, but unless you already have these issues there is really no need to use the products :).  Putting cucumber on your eyes can help reduce puffiness (as long as there's no allergy).  Also, you can get these reusable gel face mask things that you put in the fridge and put on your eyes.  Beyond this, just make sure to clean and moisturize your face AT LEAST once a day, and remove any makeup you use.  Pat your face dry when you wash it.  Apply moisturizer in an upward circular motion, and foundation in a downward circular motion.  And exfoliate :)

These are the tricks I learned from my mother, who is 55 but looks 40.  And I'm about the same age as you.

Oh, and don't forget suntan lotion when you'll be outside!  UV's can be detrimental to skin!

Cliniques All About Eyes is fantastic for dark circles and puffyness but will do nothing for wrinkles. You might want to check out Advanced Stop Signs for eyes (clinique too) because that is also really good.

I used to work for Clinique and I would recommend you go down to the closest department store and have a chat with one of the girls working. They will likely recommend a cream that will do exactly what you're looking for in an eye cream, without trying to rip you off. You'll spend a bit of money, but if an eye cream should last you about 6 months. At around 60 bucks a pop, that's 10 bucks a month, mere pennies a day! And isn't your skin worth it?

In addition to your chanel stuff...pop a vitamin E capsule and use it on your face every once in awhile. Its really nice. And if you love high end things:

OOH! OOH! nordstorm online has a free sample thing if you spend over 100$
I use Enchanted Eye Cream from Lush. Lush is the most awesome skin care products company, my skin has never been smoother, and all of their stuff is hand made and smells really good too.
Just to give some info on my Chanel eye cream. I got allergic to it and my eye area got all itchy and swollen and red and flaking...I stopped using it.

I now use vaseline instead. :D
Usually, clothing companies (like Chanel, Dior, YSL) who branch out and start making cosmetics don't do a very good job. The colours might look pretty for make-up, but the quality is just not that great. You're better off going for a company that specializes in cosmetics (except La Mer.. that stuff is so overrated. It doesn't work that well and it smells like Nivea).

My favorite undereye cream is by Clarins, it has SPF 30 in it. Smells nice, and goes on smooth.
I love Clarins. I also have very sensitive skin and have never had any problems with their products.
Garnier nutritioniste.  i'm 21 and got the same advice, the Nutritioniste line is great for younger skin.  And wear your sunscreen!!  :)

My kids say I look like an older sister to my daughter (I'm almost 66); others who meet us say the same thing, and what I've done ALL my life is:

#1 - Cotton pads soaked with witch hazel (cheap) - lie down; feet up, rest 20 minutes.

#2 - A cucumber slice on each eye in the summer when they're in the garden.

#3 - a 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil each night around the eye area; just 'pat' it onl it absorbs while you sleep (and you can cook with it too).

#4 - INTERNALLY TAKE:  A good fish-oil capsule; or down a teaspoon of olive oil followed by a glass of water with some lemon juice in the water.

#5 - INTERNALLY - eat lots of fruits and vegetables; light on greasy foods, and desserts.

#6 - Good exercise; nothing terribly 'fancy' - walking; sports, hiking - that FRESH AIR is good for ALL YOUR SKIN AND HAIR.

#6 - B-complex vitamins; good for the skin (including your eye area of course); hair, and nails.

You don't need to spend money on expensive creams.  Many of those creams have other additives that DRY the eyes (like alcohol), as well as fillers such as Titanium Dioxide (to make that nice white bright cream look so inviting).  They also use Kaolin clay - to 'hold' it together.

I worked in the R&D labs of a large cosmetic company (can't use their name here), so I know what they've done to make you have to 'come back and buy more', and that alcohol makes your eye area dry out; you buy MORE - they make MORE money.

Olive oil is NATURAL - nothing but a very good moisturizer with no additives.

Give it a go..................

sixtyfivealive has the best advice on this thread so far.

If you are still interested in cosmetics, check out http://www.makeupalley.com for user reviews on every product you can imagine.  I don't ever buy anything until I read their reviews.

Also check the product ingredients, as sixtyfive mentioned, loads of drying products in all face products.  No sense in drying out your skin even more and getting more wrinkles!!!

I ordered this eye cream from Phytomer and it's hypoallergenic and most of all, I've tried it on and it feels so smooth and comfy on my skin! I really hope this one will work for me in this chilling -20 degrees weather.

I agree with you guys on the expensive doesn't equal good quality idea. I'll never use non-specialist brands for skin-products anymore....

Thanks a lot for your advise tho!! :D
I am currently loving the Philosophy line of skin care...and I use Arbonne eye cream.  Pure ingredients and really nice on my skin.
