Quick question about chicken breast.
So my mom buys skinless chicken breasts(They are kinda like fillets) and I ussually use this as my calorie log.http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-chicke n-breast-meat-only-i5064
But I was wondering how I should log it. There is one where it says 1/2 breast skin bone and skin removed. Is that just saying because there are 2 breasts in the chicken that counts as one? Or should I just double the serving size?
I think that is for cooked... My suggestion, get the scale, weight before cooking, go by nutrition label on the package.

Yeah, I know its cooked aha. But yeah I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally need a scale but I can't find them where I live and its pissing me off! I think I just need to order one online.
Also I think the package simply said the amount for 3 ounces of chicken breast which really dosent help if I don't have a scale
Thanks though (: I will just double the serving for that.
Usually those frozen chicken breasts are somewhat uniform in size. So you can guestimate the weight of each by counting the number of them and dividing the weight listed on the package by the count. Should be more accurate then randomly doubling portions....

I use this one, which is raw chicken breast fillet, boneless skinless

Without a scale, it's a little hard to judge the serving size. The rule of thumb is that 3 oz is about the size of a deck of cards.
Do you have an online account with Amazon? You can order a nice digital scale from there.

Hmmm yeah I deffiantly say its around 200-280 category. I'll just estimate somewhere between there aha.
Also yes, yes I do! Do you mind showing me to the one your talking about?
Thanks....
I bought this one from Amazon:
I like it. It was reasonably priced, and had good reviews on Amazon. It has an 11-lb capacity, which I've found sufficient. It measures in both oz/lb and g/kg, with reasonable precision. It's also small enough to stick in a drawer.
Why not try tofu or another non-animal protein source instead? Consuming chicken (& other animal proteins) leads to obesity, high cholesterol, increased risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancers. Consider the hormones & antibiotics fed to the animals that enter your body. Not healthy! There are lots of delicious alternatives.

Erm, no thank you. Sorry but I am not vegetarian but I fully respect your choice to be one. But consuming chicken or other animal meats are perfectly fine to eat (:

Please do not push your ideas/believes on to others. It is very rude. There is a vegetarian forum, if darkbeam wanted alternatives he could always look/post there.
