Hi guys,
So I went to the doctors today, had my weigh in. So this week I have been eating at least 3.000 calories a day, but I went to the doctors and I gained 100 grams. 100 **** GRAMS! So what do I do? Is this just a fluctuation and I should keep eating the same, or should I increase? Or are the scales just wrong? They're the scales I weigh myself on weekly at the doctors so I don't know. Any advice would be appreciated muchly.

hi hun, well is this the first week uve been up this high? how much do u usually go up weekly ?? x
I've been eating 3.000 for about 3 weeks now, and I haven't increased since the initial jump (1.000 to 2.500, then 3.000).

lol, i dont know waht 100grams is? if its a really small amount, about 1lb or so or less, then i was told to add on 250-300 cals.
it sounds like ur bodys gotten used to that amt of cals an ur metab is defo shootin thru the roof if ur not gaining on 3000 cals. did u have an initial gain when u upped? mayb try addin on 200 cals an see what happens??

I did have an initial gain - well, I had a loss, then a gain, then this practically maintaining! Lol, agru, curse this european metric system! 100 grams is like 0.002 of a pound! It's so insignificant it's non-existent, explained away by fluctuation....so what should I do? Increase, or keep going?
Thanks so much guys, don't know what I'd do without your cool heads and good advice!

THEO-hi, so youre being weighed by a doctor? nutritionist? i dont see anyone, doing this on my own, but in the 1 Nut appt i had the woman said to add 250-300 if you gain 1lb or less. soooo cool! have an awesome dinner, or bfast, whatever meal it is by you, lol
mayb u shud increase them by like 200 or so an see what hapens....cause ur pretty much maintaining on what ur eating so if u wanna gain the cals will rpob have to increase if u think u can manage it hun

Just for info: 28 grams = about 1 ounce, so 100 grams is roughly 3 1/2 ounces. From everything I've heard if you stay the same (or darn near close to it) it is recommended you add 300 - 500 calories a day.
How often should you eat during the day?
It is neither necessary to eat every two hours nor to stop eating at 6:00 PM. As long as your calorie intake is less than your output... Read more
