I first attempted to lose weight around this time last year. I didn't end up losing as much weight as i wanted before my face became too gaunt looking. My problem is I have very sharp cheekbones, and a strongish jaw, so I need a bit of poof for my face to look normal.
I still have a fair amount of pudge around my hips, and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to lose the pudge without my face becoming too gaunt?
If you lose weight you can't dictate where it will go from first. And if you're a healthy weight (BMI 20 - 25) it's even more difficult to avoid the gaunt look. If you have 'pudge' around your hips one thing you can try, rather than cutting the calories, is to eat a 'clean' diet. i.e. you get 90% of what you eat from wholefoods & home-cooking and you avoid heavily processed, preserved, salty, sugary foods. You drop alcohol and caffeine in favour of water. A cleaner diet will mean that your body stops retaining quite so many fluids... which show up as 'pudge', cellulite and love-handles on an otherwise slim body. Toning exercises will also help fim up the muscles a little. Best of luck
Thank you, this makes it a lot clearer. I knew you can't dictate areas for weight loss, which is why I asked, but I didn't know eating better would settle my body better. Thanks again =)
I have the same problem. thats the way to go.
i will try to check my bmi. its quite a while since my last measurement after my weight loss.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
