Quirky Self Discoveries

Quote  |  Reply

I've realized that more often than not...

I pick out and put on my underwear first thing in the morning. And entirely not on purpose or planned I will more often than not choose to wear a shirt of the same colour that day. (I usually laugh when I notice my matchy matchyness later on in the day when I take my pants off to lounge around the house - (pants suck))

Must be something to do with my mood when I wake up what colours I choose (I own a variety)

Or maybe its only related to which laundry loads have made it through the washer.

What funny quirks have you realized about yourself?

I usually do that on purpose. Not sure why, lol. I used to have cutesy matching bras too, but that was 2 cup sizes ago. (Biggest reason DH keeps saying "ok you look good to me - don't lose anymore!)

I realized once that I subconsciously had picked out favorite things in the gym-locker, eliptical, exercise bike, and shower stall. If my favorite is occupied it doesn't ruin my workout or anything, but I do prefer certain things.

Me too. I hate when people are on "my treadmill" or use "my locker".

I have too many quirks, mostly related to neatness.

haha i'm the same way!

I will not wear the same color underwear two days in a row.  I also will make sure that my hubbys and daughters underwear are put away in the drawer so that they also do not pull out the same color two days in a row.  I don't know why...it's not like anyone sees them and would think that maybe they are wearing the same undies two days in a row.   I guess that's why it's a quirk, huh?  And that's really my only one.  I'm not compulsive about anything else.

people have a territorial instinct kind of like other animals do

that's why when you go in a class, even if there are plenty of desks and no assigned seating, most people will sit in the exact same desk every class period.

something that's kind of funny is if half way through the semester you come to class early and intentionally sit in 'someone else's seat'

>;D

this confuses people.  why is she sitting in my seat??? omg what is going on?? is all over their face

i had a management class about this.  it was about managing change in the workplace and understanding people's natural instincts and stuff.

that makes so much sense! I noticed this territorial thing happening in my lunchtime yoga class at work...  i'm just glad I snagged myself a "good" spot infront of the mirror where I can see the instructor. ;)

One among many - I can't walk on the "wrong" side (I'm in the States, so that would be the left side) of the hallway or aisle, and I will get just a bit upset when someone else is and they are in my way.  I'm NEVER going to try to drive in Europe!

I totally get you on this one....drive on the right side of the road- makes sense to walk on the right side of the hallway or aisle ! Oh and I also color coordinate my underwear with what I am wearing for the day/night.

Sorry, don't get you on the underwear one - white goes with everythinig!

I did this, but for four years and counting.  My department only has one classroom and the third seat in the fourth row is MINE.

I match my panties to my socks to my t-shirt and if applicable to the fold over layer on my yoga pants... EXAMPLE: yesterday I wore orange socks with orange panties & an orange t-shirt and my victoria secret fold over yoga pants were orange & grey! ha ha ha! Yea, I'm a loser! And I get REALLY excited when my toe-nail polish matches too! Right now they are red... ha ha! So I think I clashed a bit yesterday then!

Just being able to wear something that doesn't have an "X" in the size tag is a real motivator for me.  While shopping, catching myself in the "plus" sizes and reminding me that I don't go there any more works too.  If my bras, panties and socks match, it probably means that there is a sweat shirt that should match as well.  (What do you mean, sort the colors?)

I used to dress "nautical" with my socks.  (Left foot, port, green; right foot, starboard, red)  Made sense to me at the time.  Cool  giasbash6260, just what is Victoria's secret?  Remembering the scene in "Back to the Future" when Marty woke up and the gal called him Calvin because the name tag in his underwear said "Calvin Klein".

It drives me insane when a drawer, cupboard, or closet door is open.  Even ajar will send my off  sensor's.   I can feel it as soon as I walk into the house.  Somethings not right... Yell

o my god im like that with drawers and stuff....gotta be closed

when im watching tv i have to have the volume on even numbers......

or when im going out...ill check the hair straightner is plugged out.....and even though ive just checked maybe 5 minutes before i have to check again....

cnt watch a movie without popcorn:FACT!
