This Quote Really Hit Me...
I was driving down a road and saw this on one of those signs with the plastic lettering you can take on and off with a stick. It was by a convenient store, but the local high school usually posts upcoming events on it. All of that to say it was at the oddest place to find inspiration. Here's the quote:
"Discipline is remembering what you want."
I don't know who said it. It just really hit me because I always say I'm not that disciplined and have a problem with it, but the solution was really simple. It is really remembering what you want. Sometimes we wake up and set a goal, but we see a piece of cake or a chocolate chip cookie and we forget. And it's really given me more will power. I think, what do I REALLY want...this cookie, or to be in better shape? So, that quote may do nothing for anyone else, but it's interesting how we find inspiration at the oddest moments.
That is a good quote! Maybe I can remember that next time I go to buy a candy bar lol. One that motivates me to work out is "The only place success comes before work (or sweat) is in the dictionary."
the one i like the best is
"nothing tastes better than thin "

ektachadha, be careful posting this one around here, you'll get your behind chewed out. I posted a similar quote "nothing tastes as good as fit feels" and totally caught hell for it! just looking out!
That's a good one!
The one that I use is one that I tweaked a bit. When my husband & I were getting married, we had to take a marriage prep course, and the couple that ran it were awesome, and they said that a marriage that works is one that is always being worked on, and they used this saying "Love is a decision" At the end they gave us a fridge magnet that has this saying engraved in it, and it still hangs on my fridge to this day, but when I look at it now, I think
"My health is a decision"- it seems to keep me on track. :o)
thanks for that one. it's discipline that I lack so I'm going to post that on my fridge and my work cube just as a helpful reminder. What a great story about where you found that inspiration. Your right funny how it can be in the strangest forms or moments.
Great quote. I've already shared it on Facebook :-)
The quote that inspires me most at the moment is:
'You can't change the past, only the future'
Says it all, really!

It's because the phrase "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels" is most commonly said/posted/used by/associated with pro-anorexia sites. CC is about living a healthy lifestyle, and people are worried that the phrase may be triggering for anorexic/bulimic people, or just don't like the phrase because of it's association.
That's an awesome quote, I'm gonna remember that! However I think it should be "Discipline is remembering WHY you want what you want." I think about my goals pretty often, but it's when I forget my underlying motivations that I fall off track.
