you will never get a completely "flat" stomach by dieting. That little
paunch that you have is because your body is eating up all your muscle
for energy and leaving your 10% of fat alone so it "looks" like your
fat, but your really starving.
(ravenlark in How many calories/day should I be consuming?)
I just read this, and really wanted to point it out for all to see. I think this is a problem that A LOT of people have. People keep dieting and end up getting too thin becaues they keep seeing the fat on their stomach. At the same time they try to tone their abs to get rid of the "paunch" and it just doesn't work!
I just think this is an awesome way to put it... thanks!

Wait...so does this mean there's no way to get rid of the "paunch"?
Nope...even models have a bit of a "paunch" It's just in the pictures they can edit it out. Watch a fashion show on TV sometime, you'll see that their stomachs are not completely flat.
this is true... im 5'3 1/2 and i weigh anywhere between 113-115 ... it all depends i guess, and i am toned and have abs when i flex but yet i have that slight bump of nothing, its not much but i dont think ive ever seen one person without it, its like a curve of ur body on a girl
