Yikes. It's been a while since I have done any races. Granted it's only a 5K! I am anxious to see where my fitness is really at. I have a hard time gauging it without race efforts (where I push Waaaayyyy harder than I normally would). Wish me luck! I'm scared!

Good luck! I admire you for being in shape. I am thin, but I am NOT in shape! When I was in high school (like, 2 years ago) I played every sport, and I was on starting lineup for most of the sports I played. I was so in shape then. Now.....well, lets just say that I made some very unwise decisions about my nutrition and my body still suffers the consequences. I cannot even manage aerobics for an hour without feeling like I am about to die. You have inspired me to get back into shape! lol.
I have days when aerobics for 10 minutes makes me nearly die...or throw up....that's always fun. Maybe I'll run so hard tomorrow I barf. I think that will be my goal!
<----That'd be my barf face. Truthfully if I can beat my husband I would be pretty freakin happy.
Arrrggghhhh! That was NOT a pretty race. No barf, just SLLLLOOOOOOOW! 24:30. That is the slowest 5K I have had in a really long time. Although coming back from an injury I was happy to place third in my age group!
