rain rain go away

Quote  |  Reply
I don't know if any of you are from the Northeast but this rain is killlling me.... It has been soooo depressing and boring....but at the same time it has motivated me to get up and go to the gym. I went every day last week! (well... Monday through Friday) and today, the water was so rediculous that houses at the end of my street had water halfway up their front doors. It's insane... So I walked about 2 miles taking pictures of everything. Now, if I only had a rowboat.........

Hope everyone else has better weather than I do! And your basements or houses aren't flooded!

Hey Keri - we have the opposite problem with the same result:)  It's officially climbed into the 100's for the last week and the heat can just zapp you of any and all energy.  I used to walk around the neighborhood in the morning - but it's in the 90's by 10am - and in the evenings you'd have to walk sometime between 12am and 2am:)   So it's been the air conditioned gym for my workouts - sure hase gotten more crowded there too - must be the weather:)
fallenskye4- yeah I have a post of how crazy the weather is... it's insane! There was no school where I live because of all of the damages and a lot of the main roads being closed... crazzzy.

Take Care- try to stay dry lol.
if only we could average your record rain with our record drought and record high temp for today :)
I know.... weather is crazy like that. Why can't everything average out? But then again... isn't everything like that? haha.  I feel bad for the people at the end of my street. They had to evacuate their houses. There is water up past their garage... :0/
P.S. Here is a picture of one of the houses on my street.... just so you get an idea...

Crazy

holy crap, that's a lot of water... we had a pretty big flood a couple years ago, and there's a river running right through the middle of our downtown, so everyone went out and sandbagged the canal.  it flooded a little, but not too much, thank goodness.  the outlying areas really got it, though.

sooo.... do we blame el nino, global warming, or what?
Heh. I work with FEMA floodplain maps on a regular basis.

All the rain they're having in.. New Hampshire and Massachussets is leading to some rather angry people (LOOK! WOULD YOU STOP STALLING AND OK OUR CASE! WE *ARE* HAVING A MAJOR EVENT HERE!)

Thank god *I* work in the Midwest :)
little Natashenka wants to play ~ Im with you I want this rain to just be GONE... but the forcast says that it will be here until saturday arrg... At least Alex's bday it wont be raining... But I guess I have to go take a walk in the rain... Since thats like the only cardio I can do while being preggers... Gonna go out and look for some preggers workout dvds...
I am actually from the Seattle area so I know all about rain...  I moved to Florida for a reason!!  My Mom keeps trying to get me to move back and there is no friggin way!!
I'm from the Northeast also and forget about it.. evrey street I turn there is flood and I have to turn back unto the main street.. this sucks...when i wake up in the morning it's pouring like crazy and then by afternoon is stops..

NY is supposed ot have on and off shower for the next 10 days..ughhhhh
I guess it pays to be on a mt sometimes :)

Im in upstate NY and we have had rain but not like you guys!  I live on a lake and 2 summers ago we were flooded, we had logs coming down the mt. thru our yard it was raining so hard.

have a dry day everyone!
Haha. It took me 2 hours to drive to work this morning. I work 20 minutes away from my house. The traffic was insane... and I had to go Northbound just to go south cuz the southbound exit was blocked off and flooded. THEN (that's not even the worst of it) my driver's side windshield wiper decided to just die on me. Talk about great luck... :0/
I wish you could send some of that rain this way too.  That picture of that house was something else.  Did the sign say sale pending?  I wonder how that's going to work??  I hope that all of you that are getting too much rain get some sunshine soon.  And, I hope that those of us with drought conditions can get some nice rain.
