Actually it was likely my first 5km EVER! (I've never measured my runs but I don't recall ever running 30min solid before!)
I agreed (last minute) to take someone's place in the St. Patrick's Day 5km Run/Walk in Toronto yesterday. And I agreed to it with the intentions of RUNNING.
My Time: 31.56
And I only stopped running at the half way point to down some water and then I was back at it 3 steps later. 5km - no stopping!
I can barely walk today... but I am so proud of me!
Congrats! That's a big accomplishment. I am entering my first 10K this summer (haven't found a 5K around here yet but I'm working on it).
yay you! i ran my first 5 last september. it's such a great distance, because you can do it almost every day! and if you can do 5, you can do 10 ;)
