I Ran my First 5km Race!

Quote  |  Reply

Actually it was likely my first 5km EVER! (I've never measured my runs but I don't recall ever running 30min solid before!)

I agreed (last minute) to take someone's place in the St. Patrick's Day 5km Run/Walk in Toronto yesterday. And I agreed to it with the intentions of RUNNING.

My Time: 31.56

And I only stopped running at the half way point to down some water and then I was back at it 3 steps later. 5km - no stopping!

I can barely walk today... but I am so proud of me!

Congrats! That's a big accomplishment. I am entering my first 10K this summer (haven't found a 5K around here yet but I'm working on it).

yay you!  i ran my first 5 last september.  it's such a great distance, because you can do it almost every day!  and if you can do 5, you can do 10 ;)

congratulations!

Congrats! I've been there it is quite an accomplishment! :)
