Just ran 5km

Quote  |  Reply

Was 325lb at the start of the year and ive got that down to 217.

Prior to this month i had been doing mostly walking and cycling but decided to up the ante and start jogging.

Went out tonight in the pouring rain (love running in the rain) and managed to do it non stop in 33:37,yeah not a great time but my next goal is to get it under 30 minutes.

HEY! Congrats on the 5k run. You should be SUPER proud of yourself. Your time was great, too. :-) Keep it up!

Congratulations!

Very nice.  I like running in the rain also ;)

Running in the snow is the best though.

hellz yea!  Tremendous!!!  Laughing

I don't mind the rain if it starts while I'm running. If it's raining before, I have a hard time getting out the door. I like running on pure snow, when there are no other footprints or tire tracks. Of course that only happens at ungodly hours.

Keep up the good work, grimp.

WOW!!  you've lost so much weight and you should be proud of yourself!!  just think...at the beginning of the year you probably wouldn't have even been able to do that.  what a great accomplishment CoolSmile  You've lost over 100 pounds in a year which is INCREDIBLE!!  keep it up ~ great job!

Thanks for the replys...

Couldnt even run 20 yards when i started, managed to it again tonight in 33.33 so knocked a whopping 4 seconds off my time!

Congratulations!! That is so awesome.

20 yards to 5k is a HUGE difference, not to mention the 100+ pounds! Yay for you!

That's an awesome achievement! Good job! ^____^

Here's another runner in the rain, feels so nice when it cools me down.

4 miles non stop tonight 44.29 feels great when you can notice yourself getting fitter and fitter.

Congrats!! That is an amazing accomplishment. Laughing

Just did 10k / 6m non stop in 64.45 getting much better.

You are doing an amazing job! Congrats Smile

The most I can do at the moment is 2km non-stop (want to do 5km then 10km like you), so its great to hear youre progressing-WELL DONE!!

Your 2 will soon turn into a 3 then a 4 and so on,keep it up.

Thank you Grimp - I'll get there, just need to keep pushing Smile
