A mile might not be a big deal for some of you out there, but I never thought I could run a mile straight through without stopping. I've always thought that it would be so exhilerating to be able to just run -- and at 43 thought that could never happen at this point in my life. I even made it in under 12 minutes (11:58 to be exact)! Just goes to show you never know what your body is capable of until you try. A friend has been challenging me to train to run some races with him, and I have been telling him, "I am not a runner." Time to re-think things and get on the training path. This would never have been possible 55 lbs. ago, without my nutritional changes and the support of friends and fellow C-Cers. If I can do it, you can do it!

good job kay. well done
Yay! Good job!
It's that first mile that lays the foundation for your running career. Remember, even the best marathoners had to run mile #1 at some point. Great job and keep up the good work!
