Hi everyone,

I was bored and reading the back of my toothpaste box got me curious: what is everyone's dental regimen?  More, specifically...

-how often do you brush per day?

-At what times of the day do you brush?

-How long do you brush for?

-How often do you floss?

-Do you use mouthwash?

-How often, if ever, do you go to the dentist?

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  And how bad did it suck?

-how often do you brush per day?

Twice. Sometimes I'll brush a third time during the day if I feel like I need to brush them or if I'm going out someplace important.

-At what times of the day do you brush?

Morning and Night.

-How long do you brush for?

2 minutes each time (I have one of those timed electric toothbrushes!)

-How often do you floss?

Every night.

-Do you use mouthwash?

Not usually.

-How often, if ever, do you go to the dentist?

Usually once a year or once every two years.

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  And how bad did it suck?

I'm 19 and I haven't had them out yet, but I'm going to have to soon I think and I'm anticipating that it's going to suck pretty bad (based on what others have told me)

-How often do you floss? almost daily, I miss a day here and there

-How often, if ever, do you go to the dentist? All the time... I'm currently getting a lot of work done so I'm in every 2-4 weeks; normally just the usual twice a year

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  And how bad did it suck? I was 20 and the pain is overdramatized

-how often do you brush per day? - I brush at least twice per day (in the morning and before bed) more if I'm going out to meet people.

-At what times of the day do you brush? the first thing and last thing I do

-How long do you brush for? two minutes, sometimes a bit more (it's an electric toothbrush so it measures the time for me)

-How often do you floss? one a day, more if I've had popcorn

-Do you use mouthwash? only on occasion, when I feel like the breath is really bad

-How often, if ever, do you go to the dentist? twice a year, I love the dentist!

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  And how bad did it suck? - I'm 19 and I still haven't had them out yet. The dentist thinks I won't have to have them out until 23 or so, and I don't mind putting off the pain that will undoubtedly go along with getting all four wisdom teeth removed.

-Do you use mouthwash? Yep, twice a day after brushing.

-How often, if ever, do you go to the dentist? Every 6 months.

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  I was born without wisdom teeth, I have one microdont that is all that is left of them, but it just sits in my mouth being a tiny little tooth. And how bad did it suck? N/A.

Never had them out yet

Not going to be much of a survey seeing how only people with great dental hygiene habits are going to post. And since that outs me as someone who doesn't, I'll reply.

-how often do you brush per day? 1-2

-At what times of the day do you brush? before bed and sometimes before I go out (I've always got minty gum in my mouth when I'm out though).

-How long do you brush for? I don't know, until my teeth feel smooth.

-How often do you floss? like every other day, or whenever see/feel I need to.

-Do you use mouthwash? I use a flouride rinse once a week.

-How often, if ever, do you go to the dentist? uh I didn't go for like 4 years, but now I need to schedule my second cleaning of this year.

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)? And how bad did it suck? When I was 12 I had 4 molars removed to make room for them when they did grow in, so I still have mine (needed the space to straighten my teeth).

how often do you brush per day?  2x's unless I have eaten a lot of sweets or have had a pop... soda makes my teeth feel nasty.

-At what times of the day do you brush? AM after breakies and PM just before bed

-How long do you brush for? Til they feel clean

-How often do you floss?  I'm an inconsistent flosser... a couple times a week

-Do you use mouthwash?  No

-How often, if ever, do you go to the dentist?  As rarely as humanly possible  I've had the worst luck with dentists... as a kid I had a dentist that thought that Novacaine was unnecessary and only for "hysterics". 

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  And how bad did it suck?

I was 33... and I cannot explain how horrible it was.  When I was 11 I had to have all of my baby teeth between my eye teeth and my 12 year molars chiseled out of my jaw because they had fused to my jawbone and my grown up teeth couldn't get through (intense pain)... my wisdom teeth were worse than that oral surgery.  My top two I have to say weren't too bad.  The bottom two were impacted and I now have permanent nerve damage to my lower left side of my tongue and jaw... It was horrible and my dentist was a bit of a butcher. 

-how often do you brush per day?  once a day, mid morning.  I cant brush right after I eat!  Gag reflex too strong

-How long do you brush for?  Well I hum happy birthday twice

-How often do you floss?  usually a couple times a week

-Do you use mouthwash?  nope

-How often, if ever, do you go to the dentist?  Its been a while but usually every year

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  And how bad did it suck?  I was 21.  Put to sleep and had 3 taken out.  I only had three.  Followed all instructions before surgery and after and didnt have any issues at all!

how often do you brush per day?  lots.  at least three times; some days four or five

-At what times of the day do you brush?  as soon as i get up (w/o toothpaste); before bed; and every time i leave the house, even just to walk the dog or go for a run.

-How long do you brush for?  probably three or four minutes.  i usually find something else to do while i brush.

-How often do you floss?  almost daily.

-Do you use mouthwash?  not until now, but i just bought an oral rinse at the recommendation of my hygienist.  i'm using baking soda once a week, too.

-How often, if ever, do you go to the dentist?  my student plan gives me one visit every nine months; i get there about once a year.

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  And how bad did it suck?  had them out surgically when i was about 30.  it wasn't that bad.  they gave me good drugs.

-How often, if ever, do you go to the dentist?  every 6 months - I'm 27 and never had a cavity!

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  And how bad did it suck? 15 - it was horrible.  I had all 4 impacted teeth removed and 2 tunnels carved on the roof of my mouth to expose my canine teeth.  The tunnels got infected.  Don't be scared though, I'm a really slow healer in general.  Everything takes longer to heal and is more painful.  It's genetic and they say that all the medications I take daily can result in slower healing.  Which really makes me scared when considering breast augmentation...but that's another forum : )

-How often do you floss? when there's something caught between my teeth, or i feel gross. but i brush my tongue, gums, and cheeks as part of brushing

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  And how bad did it suck? at 29, my wisdom teeth haven't come in yet. but i've seen them on x-ray. they're waiting to cause maximum pain

And how bad did it suck? It didn't suck. My Mom says they accidentally gave me too much morphine, and all I remember is having this really intense trip and seeing all these Victorian women and stuff.

• I'm 32, and have all of my wisdom teeth. When I was to the dentist this year, he said my teeth were fine, and I'm one of the few who don't need to have them out!

I was 16 and I only had two wisdom teeth (my uppers), but I also had two other teeth on my lower jaw that had to be very carefully removed, and it still wasn't bad at all.  Oh and I also had braces at the time. It was tons of fun.  My surgeon's really really good though so it didn't hurt at all.

I don't time it, just until I'm satisfied

-How often do you floss? at least 4 times a day. I have a box at my desk, in my purse, in my car and in each bathroom. I am addicted to it. Am flossing now.

-How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth out (if you have)?  And how bad did it suck? Still have mine, they came in as easily as any other teeth. I don't even remember when they did come in.

I haven't had any wisdom teeth out but I do have one coming in that my dentist said will have to be out in about 6 months. I am 26 and I am anticipating it to suck pretty bad.
