Random Muscle Gain?
At first I felt somewhat disheartened at some unexpected weight gain, but it might be more cause for celebration than disappointment. Now, I'm only eyeing this, but I believe that I might have actually gained some muscle. Is this normal at some point after recovering from an ED? Regardless of whether it is, I am pleased nonetheless.
Are you doing anything (exercise) that would be a source of the muscle gain?
I went through a phase like this too! I didn't want the scale to go up mentally (for some odd reason), and I wanted to keep my maintenance weight low, but I worked out my legs and the scale went UP. I kinda freaked, but then laughed at myself because my legs are so much more tone than they used to be, like ROCKS! and they're pretty sore. So of course I weight more.*duh* :)
Gotta love it when life makes sense :)

Unless carrying in the groceries and taking long walks count, then nope. I just started eating more, or rather, more normally I guess.

Then, nearly a week after increasing my calorie consumption, I gained a significant amount of weight fairly quickly. Of course, I thought it was all fat, but to my surprise, it wasn't deposited immediately in the thighs or the belly, but as muscles. They started to become more obvious and my strength began to increase. Of course, being male, things might be just a little different with me. But it certainly sounds like you've gained muscle to me. :)
Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
In terms of calorie burning, moderate jumping is about equal to running a 10-minute mile, although calorie burning is always a function of time... Read more
