Reached my first goal!

Quote  |  Reply
Oh, this feels good! I was at my heighest ever weight in February when I had a broken leg. That was 240. Today I'm below my first goal of 225 (only slightly - 224.5), even though I indulged a little last night at a friend's surprise birthday party!

Woohoooo!!!!!

Thanks everyone for helping me realize I CAN do this - here's to many more goals for all of us!

YAY!!  whacha gonna get?  you gotta reward yourself for doing something sooo awesome!~!  :)
Thanks everyone! My mom is so proud of me - she is super supportive too.

I think I'll treat myself to a CD I've been wanting. The Violent Femmes - Add it up. I used to have it years ago but I lost my copy and I've been wanting to get it but putting it in the back of my mind so it wasn't really a priority.

TracyMarie, I think it is awesome that you are rewarding yourself with something non-food related. I think rewarding ourselves is very important. It makes the journey fun and makes us have a more positive attitude about ourselves. Congrads on reaching your first goal! We look forward to hearing from you about reach your next goal! You can do it!

I read about rewarding yourself after making good diet choices a long time ago in an article for women... the suggestion was to reward yourself with a nice lipstick... and I just could not relate to that.

But gradually, I am finding the wisdom in that and for some reason, lipstick has become a nice treat for me.  All it takes is a changed concept, a fresh new idea, an inspiration to take a negative and turn it into a possitive...   I say a CD is a good reward and will bring you many hours of pleasure witch will reinforce your commitment to yourself to make choices that promote your well being.
WTG Tracy! As a music lover, a CD is the perfect way to treat yourself!  Music suggestion, if you've not heard of him, take a listen to Daniel Powter.  Has a nice style, writes his own stuff, plays the piano and guitar, has a beautiful voice too :)  Enjoy and it just goes to show you, with determination and self-discipline comes sucess! and Sucess is always measured in the smallest of steps, always forward :)

Keep on Keepin' On!
A big congratulations to you! It feels so good when you start to hit your mini-goals, because you start to believe that it can and it WILL happen.

We need a thumbs up smiley!
tracymarie.. you are my kind of gal!  that is their best cd EVER!  i *might* go see them this summer (they're from millwaukee and play every year at the summer fest there).. :)
How good is this I was feeling a bit down, Hubby's gone away to work for a week (bad for my emotional eating) it's easter and I can't indulge in mounds of chocolate, and then I come on here and get good news.

Tracy you inspire me !!!!!!

And what's this about : (only slightly - 224.5)  I thought slightly was what we were all aiming for ;)) (doing ~ the ~ mexican ~ wave ~)

WAY TO GO

Great job!! Keep it up and what an inspiration this is!!
