I reached my goal Feb. 19th.

I have been doing the calorie-count for a year, but never really posted.  But, I reached my goal weight feb. 19th, and now I am learning to keep it off. I have learned so much this last year, mainly how to cook without the use of butter, salt, fat, and cheese, lol.  It can be a challenge not to use any of those things!!  I have a spice cabinet any chef would admire. :D

Anyway, I started this journey (for the millionth time) on march 9, 2008.  On Feb. 19th 2009 I made my goal.  107 pounds lost, bmi now 24.3. :D

sorry I took so long to respond!  Well, it is the end of August, and I am still living lean.  3 pounds below goal.  I put in a new profile pic of our vacation where I went zip lining, and repeled down a waterfall.  What a hoot!  I would have never done that 100 pounds ago!

anyway, some were asking how I did it.  I actually did it using Michael Thrumonds 6 week body makeover.  It is a life plan to help you cange your eating habits.  I eat 5 to 6 times a day, but more importantly,. I am eating healthy foods, not processed.  My proteins are usually lean like fish, chicken or turkey, but I have beef once or twice a week.   I eat mostly fresh veggies, especially now when my garden is producing so much!  I loved them roasted, and usually have that with almost every meal.  Yummy and a great filler.  I eat fresh fruits, and complex carbs like sweet potatos (love them seasoned cut like fries) potatos, jicima, quoina, rice, etc.  This plan really was easy for me, I don't know why becasue I spent years doing different types of "diets".  I guess when I finally found one that was healthy, my body wasn't preoccupied with binge eating, lol.

Anyway, you can see the plan I followed at mybodymakeover.com.

This company flew me out to LA in June, and then again in July, I am going to be in their next informmercial!  It was so much fun, treated me like a movie star, got a makeover, got to keep the clothes, lol.  And I am wearing a size 6!

You can read about my informercial experience on my blog if you would like. http://shellieh98.blogspot.com

anyway, gotta get back to work. :D
