If I reached my ideal weight I would...

get into kite surfing!

I've flown stunt kites before in my life and always thought it would be so fun to do kite surfing (google it if you don't know what it is).  But I'd have to be in totally good shape which I'm far from these days!  Long long term goal!

What would you do if you reached your ideal?

When I get to my goal weight, I want to:

1. Go shopping again!! I used to shop all the time, and loved it. I want that again...

2. Buy something super sexy from Victoria's Secret. I always wanted to do that, but never had the gusto to. Now I want to feel sexy for my fiance, and I'm sorry, but I just don't right now.

3. Be able to ride my horse without feeling sorry for him. Maybe run Gymkhana again...

4. Actually match my young daughter when I go to the store. I spend so much money and time making sure she looks great, then I just throw on a pair of ill-fitting jeans and a baggy t-shirt.

When I reach my goal weight I will:

Buy an awesome vintage outfit (I'll actually be small enough - yay!) and sport it all over town!

Ask out that cute boy at the bike shop.

Go visit people I haven't seen in years and really wow 'em.

Wear skirts without stockings!  Maybe even wear shorts!  (Haven't worn shorts in at least 6 years)

Ooh, I can relate to so many of these! Like jog at the gym in my sports bra and buy something sexy from Vic's secret.

I thought of one more, kind of along the kite-boarding vein. I've always wanted to rock climn. Not like an indoor wall or anything, but a real one. Just me, pulling my own weight up a cliff. I think it'd be so empowering! But right now my arms and legs just aren't strong enough and my body is just too heavy. Someday though.

.... I would not obsess about sucking in my stomach and making sure that someone taking a photo of me got my "skinny angle"

...run out and buy a bikini and take a vacation to a beach somewhere

...go out and buy a whole new wardrobe for myself from j.crew

...shop the "end of season sales." I never do these because I always say "Well, I know I won't weigh this much NEXT year." And so, I lose out!

...hire the photographer from my wedding to take some fabulous pictures of my hubby and I.

...start auditioning for musicals again.

....start taking a dance class again (tap, maybe?)

...I would go running every single morning just because I would imagine it would be wonderful to be a thin person running outside.

...find some nonprofit to help others (young our old) to lose weight

Wow. I have lots to do! I better get there quick!

I've had a goal for the past six years or so that I will get myself some "hooker boots."

No idea why, but I've always wanted a pair. Chances are, I'll never wear them ever, because I hate pretty much everything one would wear with shoes of that kind, but... yes. A pair of knee-high boots and heels that will make me at least 6'2. Heh heh heh.

Apart from that, I might go swimming again. Used to love it, but I haven't gone since I was 17--got sick of all the insults my dad used to deal out.

I am at my ideal weight now, and am concentrated in learning more about the way my body treats food and what foods are healthy and wich are not.

I want to learn  to control my body and my metabolism and the way it works with healthy food, and I want to build muscle, right now I am just really skinny, but I want to build muscle mass now and eat the right foods and learn which ones they are and how they help my body age properly and how to plan for the future in relation with my bone density and things I can do to be stronger in my old years.

I lost weight once and my metabolism was a mess,  I lost weight without really undestanding how it all worked, and now that I lost it again by understanding how my body process foods and how it is such a wonderfull machine I am determined to totally control it.

Remember how hard I worked to get there and be really, really proud of myself!  Oh, and I'd probably go on a shopping spree Wink

you don't have to reach your ideal weight to look good in hooker boots. I adore them and I think that if you have the confidence and ability to "support" what you wear you'll look great!Smile

I will award myself with a big shopping therapy! The diet will hurt my soul enough to need it!Wink

Hah! For me, it's more about how expensive they are than anything. I made the agreement with myself that if I lost the weight, that would be my big "prize."Something I potentially could have the money for, but no real reason to get except for the sheer fact that I want them.

Looking forward to the feeling of walking into a clothing store and leaving with a bunch of stuff I like and that fit me... with the store not being Lane Bryant. It's a great place, really it is, but I am so sick of having only one offline place from which to choose my wardrobe.

I know the feeling.I'd prefer to have choices instead of shopping constantly from one store.Despite that low prices is a must!

* I would love to be able to go out for a run and enjoy the exhilarating feeling of being free!

* Have my husband be able to pick me up in both arms and carry me over the threshold. (Like he should have done when we got married, but I was way too big.

* Be able to go shopping and get clothes that I like AND fit properly, not just one or the other.

* Rollerblading! My knees can't take it at my current weight.

I'm sure there's more, but all I can think of at the moment =)

When I reach my ideal weight, the me in my head will be the me on the outside, I'll be able to look into a mirror and recognize myself (okay, half of that is my hair loss), but most of all just be happy that I accomplished my goal, am healthier and can do anything.

I'm with those on the hooker boots.  I bought myself a pair for my 32'nd birthday but it was from a big girl catalogue,   I want to go into a regular store and buy a  new pair. I also want to wear my sport bra to yoga without the beater tank.

I will buy clothes from normal people stores.  I will never shop at Lane Bryant again.

Id go on a date

Why can't you go on a date now?

Im just that insecure right now.

 I'm the same way

Also though I would go shopping! Especially for jeans and the kind of jeans that are not all 'stretch' ( I haven't worn jeans in 2 yrs). I would go dancing, go out more, I don't think I will ever be able to wear a bikini ever but I would buy one of those cute 1950's pin up girl style bathing suits :) I think I would just be so happy and confident both of which I haven't been in a long time.

when i meet my baby goals, i'll put on all the smaller clothes i used to wear.  when i meet my ideal weight, i'd probably buy lots of clothes, as shallow as that sounds! :) i'd also try on all the styles i love but don't flatter me at my current weight.  and, as heather says, i will support anyone else going through a similar journey!

I'd make myself a new outfit from scratch!

I'd also buy myself a new pair of shoes. Right now my weight is too much for my feet so they splay out and become too wide for shoes in the stores. I own a million flipflops, though!

When I get to my ideal weight I'm getting a pixie hair cut. I need the confidence to rock it the way I want!

When I reach my ideal weight :

I won't let myself slip back into the "Eh, it's only 10 more lbs..." until finally I have reached 100lbs more than I should be.

I will buy new clothes that fit properly, and not let myself gain weight to the point of having to buy one size bigger.

Be more confident.

Take up running. (It's too much stress on the knees, after having bad knees from years of ice skating, being the weight I am now)

*edit* And getting a hair cut that won't make me look 20lbs heavier. (I really like shorter hair but it makes my face look rounder and more chubby)
