Ready to get the rest of it off!!!!
I am a 40+ mother of three and grandma. I started out at 227 pounds and in a size 18 (and a very tight 18). I have managed to lose 66 pounds so far. I want to lose another 31 pounds to reach my goal. It has been a very long road for me. I am hoping to finally get there. I have learned so much along the way. I have learned so many ways of eating healther that taste so much better than I had ever dreamed. I feel so much better. I came across this site and realized that I need to really work on finally getting off the rest of this weight. I have all the tools and I exercise regularly, am just hoping to find people struggling with this same addiction and maybe we can encourage each other. And I am always open to making new friends.
what is the addiction that you suffer from? congrats on how far you've come already...you have a lot to be proud of!!
Hi quickangel,
CONGRATS on your successes up to now!
I'm a new member and was drawn to respond to your post because your profile sounds like mine!
I am 45+, married, and mom to 1 teenager (no grandkids yet and that is a good thing!). My top weight was 222.6 lbs about 13 months ago. Since late last year I have been yo-yoing around 205 to 210. Three months ago, after a very stressful time with family "stuff", I put myself, husband and teen on a healthy eating plan.
I've lost 24 lbs and am now at 181 with a goal of 160 to 165. (20 to 25 more lbs.)
Along the way I have learned a lot about food and health but still struggle with getting complete and tasty meals on the table. I am also not very disciplined with exercising. I would love to hear your tips!
Maybe we can support each other in getting to our goal weights?
