Ready...Set...GO! Again.

Apparently I joined this site in January 2008 and coincidentally I am the EXACT same weight as I was 18 months ago!  Isn't that just a hoot?!  Not.  I have 40 lbs to lose but prefer to think of it in 10 lb increments (I hear that helps psyche you out).

I didn’t join any groups or communities last time but loved the food logs, tracking, and tags.  I found myself sticking to the same foods that I had tagged, which is probably why I lost interest.  I am going to try some of the recipes this time around!  I have 3 kids 17, 15, and 12.  Two girls and a boy (oldest).  I have to say it: boys are so much easier than girls.  We have this debate among our mom-friends all the time - so fun that I get to experience both! We tend to live in the car and I am a full-time bleacher creature.  We typically have 3-4 games a week during which I sit my fat butt in my comfy camp chair or I sit my fat butt in the rock-hard, unforgiving, bad-for-your-back bleachers.  I don’t snack a lot at games but usually make bad choices as we’re flying out of the house at 90 miles an hour.  I am very happy to say that we have cut WAY back on drive-thru and take-out so that isn’t too much of a temptation in terms of time and efficiency.  I think I just need to borrow some ideas on how to eat healthier on-the-go.

I do Facebook and have been vigilant in keeping that updated, I wish to apply that same commitment to CC; hoping that the blogs and success stories will keep me motivated on those "food days", where you just want to eat everything it sight!  I'll go through and read some more posts and probably "talk" to you soon!  Strength in numbers (please let it be true!).

One thing I liked to do when watching my son's baseball games was to walk around the field...outside the fence of course. If he was at bat or about to make a play in the outfield I'd stop and watch then proceed to make another round. It un-nerves the team at bat at bit so I was sure to be walking around that back fence when the opposing team was batting Innocent

I applaud your coming back to CC to begin the journey to get those 10 pounds off x 4. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!Laughing

Hi ! I am new to all of this I like your story, I also have 40 + #'s to lose isn't life great!! I think we as women are NOT Trolls but we beat our self up as one! I think instead of finding the good qualities in our selves we find the negative and the people that are around us in our everyday life tend not to appreciate us I am a mom of 2 girls 9,4 a wife of 17 yrs, and currently for the last 2 yrs. a stay at home CEO , domestic manager and cheif shuffler!! AND poof 40# no movtivation and hersheys and mars in tote! GRRR! I know we as women can do this weight lose thing but some times more than not we need encouragement from others!! Good luck in your journey to finding the healthy you!

So far, so good with the diet.....I've been logging most every day and find that REALLY helps.  Saturday we were boating on the lake with friends and I was "good" but not "great". I'm sure I went over my allotted calories but I didn't beat myself up over it, just got back on track Sunday.  That is part of MY problem, once I indulge a little bit I say "heck with it", and jump off the wagon completely.  NOT GOOD. Down 3 lbs this week, inching closer to my first 10 lbs goal.

My daughter's team lost their first playoff softball game so I'm done at the field for a few months. Then we start field hockey in August so I'll do some walking then!  Thanks for the encouragement - we can do this!

P.S. Pictures were posted from our annual company picnic and I about fell off my chair.  I thought I looked pretty good that day, everything was covered, no visible rolls or dimples.  Boy was I wrong!  I have them in my purse to remind me that I need to make better choices!

Practice the 3 bite rule when looking at that delicious pile of goodies...whatever they may be. I find if I eat 3 bites spacing out my bites I'm satisfied PLUS I don't beat myself up about it. Give it a try Laughing
