Weight Loss
Moderators: duke3522, devilish_patsy, topanga1485, nycgirl, spoiled_candy, cmillington, coach_k I realize my sob story is little in comparison to others...
but here goes.
In Aug of 2004 I weighed in at around 185. I am 5'1" and a small frame. I wore a size 20. By Dec of that year I was down to 130. I had a tummy tuck done and continued to lose weight. By April of 2005 I was about 109. I had extensive shoulder surgery in May of 2005 and dropped to 104. I was unable to work out much for several months. In the meantime I visited family in Ireland and gained a few. For most of the month opf October i was in Louisiana with the Red Cross in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Back home in CA I had a dreadful experience with a personal trainer which excarerbated my MS. Laid up AGAIN for a few months. Then in Dec I was diagnosed with severe depresion along with OCD and an anxiety disorder. At this point my weight was topping out at 119.
I am back working out faithfully, watching what I eat etc., ect. I am down to about 114. I still wear a size 0, I feel good. Ihave this truly complusive NEED to weigh less than 110lbs. Even I think it might be a little unhealthy!
I am 42, small framed and 114 right now. Should I just maintain, keep trying to drop those last few lbs or something else.
Thanks for any insight.
Louise.

If you wear a size 0, definitely don't lose weight! I don't think they make negative numbers in clothing yet. . . so you'd probably be in little kids' sizes :-P .
here's what is funny, I am actually wearing a girls large from the kiddies department of Target right now! I guess I am having a hard time understanding how I could wear a 0 at 105/108 and still wear the same size at 115ish.

I can't give you any advice as I have never walked in your shoes.
but you can advise yourself..... If your child / relative were down to this size would you be offering food and saying "look at you, you're so thin?".
And if it is truly a compulsive need to be under 110lbs then maybe you should be asking a medical practitioner and not your friends here on the forum.
I hope you can search yourself to find these answers

I think that if I am 42 and weight 114 pounds I will be ONE HAPPY GIRL!
I am currently 5 2", 19 (20 in acouple months) and weight 125. I think that you probably looks fabulous! and if you feel the way you do, than its something deeper than just weight you should be looking at. I'm not going to give you advice, because oviously, well I'm young, and I'm sure you would lisen to me anyways. But, for me, I would try to focus less on my weight (at a size 0, you honestly have nothing to worry about and compulsive need, sounds as though its start to become something that might not be healthy for you) and instead worry about being healthy, eating right, and doing things that made me happy.
Continue to maintain the fabulousness that I am sure you already are and don't let your "complusive" need to be under 110 take over you.
I hope you can find the asnwers to your question, and I agree with newloser, I wouldn';t lisen to your friends, or any of us on the forum, because like you we aren't experts, we are just people, and instead go see your doctor, tell her, or him how you feel and see what they say. Hopefully you will get the answers you need.

You weigh more at the same size now because you've been working out faithfully, as you said. Muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up less space. Mystery solved ^_^ .
