So I just realized I get paid to have sex
I start work at 6am every day by waking my boss up (as he's apparently incapable of doing this on his own). Now, we're both attracted to each other but can't actually date because of the inevitable opposition all the other folks at work would have to this (did I mention he's the CEO?). So about once a week we end up having sex after I wake him up, and it just occurred to me that since I'm on the clock starting when I get to his place I'm technically being paid to sleep with him.
So... while this pretty clearly makes the both of us just a touch unethical, I don't feel like I'm a prostitute because I'm enjoying it just as much as him and there's certainly no requirement (spoken or implied) that I do this.
Any thoughts? Should I just take my act to the streetcorner? I figured an anonymous internet forum was the way to go due to the nature of this topic.
Also: I'm not too concerned about my job security because he's my only supervisor, and I'm sure I could make things worse for him than he could for me. But if I even thought he could possibly be the kind of person who would do something like that I wouldn't be foolish enough to sleep with him.
And yeah, he does have an alarm clock, but he's really spectacularly not a morning person. Plus, I make breakfast, clean, and do laundry, so I'd be at his place anyway

this has GOT to be a joke.
If its not a joke, what did he originally hire you for?

Waking someone up who already has an alarm clock because they're not a "morning person", making breakfast, cleaning, and doing laundry - if it weren't for the sex, you'd be a replacement for his mother.
Sorry - I may be missing something here, but this sounds so messed up.
Personal Assistant is my actual job title; "professional wife" is more of a joke. I do some office work during the day at the actual office as well, and basically take care of his personal life because he's a bit of a workaholic and tends to forget things like laundry, food, and bills. He realizes this is rather pathetic of him (as do I, but I tend to just laugh about it because hey - I'm getting paid for something that's not very difficult) but doesn't really care all that much because he's (admittedly) rather obsessed with work.
I truly am fine with what we're doing; I know that even if somehow we were able to date it wouldn't really work out in the long term, and I don't see the point of dating someone when you know it wouldn't work out. Having a fling, on the other hand...

It's your choice. Since you asked though (and by asking, you were inviting judgement), I think it is a disgusting and pathetic situation that you will regret later in life. Maybe not this one instance alone, but if this is how you are going to have work/dating/sex/relationships then you are on a fast track to emotional stability issues in the future.
sweetie, this isn't a fling. in a fling, you could be an equal in the relationship. you could have some power. you're an employee and he's your boss. the fact that you do a few other chores alongside the wifely duties doesn't change the fact that you're in a position of subservience and you're having sex with a superior (not a superior human being, mind you).
and i think when you posted your question, you knew very well the kind of ressponses you were likely to get, which raises questions about how much fun you're actually having.
Unless you're Julia Roberts, this is one messed up, no win situation for you. Get out of it. Quicklike.
So how much does this service cost?
I have finally found the place where I am simply stunned into silence....

True, except Julia was just hanging out on the street, he picked HER up, and the intention from the beginning was sex...not other work.
I'll echo lippy here: It is your choice, but I gotta wonder why you're bothering to get feedback about it on an internet forum if the situation really doesn't bother you.
Your situation, IMO, sounds like neither a job or a "fling." I wouldn't call it prostitution, per se, but I'm pretty sure it's disfunctional.
I hope things work out for the best, and good luck with your future.
Well ... that or you're in the CIA or something.
Second basic rule - If you post on C-C (or for any large group of strangers) seeking validation of what you do for a living, you're probably not in a good line of work.
I wouldn't have any problem dating him if I wanted to; I could get over other people's assumptions. But it's kind of important that my boss' employees respect him (and I realize this topic doesn't make him look all that respectable, but in every other way he's actually an upstanding citizen), and him dating me would likely not go over well.
And he was actually completely professional in the way he treated me up until I made it pretty clear I was interested, so it's not like he hired me with this intention.
I think the main point to this post was entertainment, as I don't have much to do this afternoon. And sometimes you just don't have suitable people in real life to share this kind of information with. Apparently I don't like keeping secrets all to myself.
Just to stress this point: It's not actually part of my job to sleep with my boss; my parents know what I do for a living and they've actually met my boss and think he's great. They obviously don't know about the sex, because they're opposed to me having any.
But maybe I should ask for a raise anyway ;p
".....but in every other way he's actually an upstanding citizen.."
I always find qualifiers for positive traits to be amusing.
He's an upstanding citizen....except when he's not being an upstanding citizen?
But still, your choice. I suppose it's nice you can entertain yourself with it.
