So I just realized I get paid to have sex
I start work at 6am every day by waking my boss up (as he's apparently incapable of doing this on his own). Now, we're both attracted to each other but can't actually date because of the inevitable opposition all the other folks at work would have to this (did I mention he's the CEO?). So about once a week we end up having sex after I wake him up, and it just occurred to me that since I'm on the clock starting when I get to his place I'm technically being paid to sleep with him.
So... while this pretty clearly makes the both of us just a touch unethical, I don't feel like I'm a prostitute because I'm enjoying it just as much as him and there's certainly no requirement (spoken or implied) that I do this.
Any thoughts? Should I just take my act to the streetcorner? I figured an anonymous internet forum was the way to go due to the nature of this topic.
And I for that reason, I too think it's pathethic."
I guess we both agree on that last bit, but for different reasons. I don't see anything wrong with the post. It's about the whole situation, like lippy said (though I don't have a problem with the way it was presented). I just pictured myself in her situation, and that was what made me sick - just thinking of what it would do to her in the long run (self esteem, etc). I would feel like crap in her shoes, and if I were to post something like this, I would certainly not be bragging. I guess everyone has their own personal values and views of themselves.
City Lovers... the first thing that came to mind last night as I read this but I couldn't remember the name...certainly not the same scenario, but this post has the same effect on me as that story.

lippy, a troll is someone who posts things with no other purpose than to stir up controversy.
Yeah, and they are usually pretty easy to spot, if you are a "regular" on a certain board. They usually are brand newly registered and/or have made no other posts/threads than the one(s) stirring s* right out of the gate. And, usually, once their "job here is done," they don't post again, or make one blatantly inflammatory post to every 2 to 3 pages of responses, just to continue adding fuel to the fire. A "squatter," or "hit-and-run" poster, aka troll.

I see...interesting.
haha... trolls... apparantly some people think I'm a troll on here :)
itsbutters: that's the only good question i've read so far on this thread!!!! If I was a guy, I would have asked the same thing... in fact, i'm pretty much interested in hiring her (except for the sex part of course!)

I'm glad to know that the sex comes with a free breakfast.
Yeah, but she also has to COOK the breakfast and then WASH the dishes. For me, that probably cancels the sex out. Oh, wait, I'm a wife, so I'm already doing all these things for FREE! ![]()
I don't get how this came across as bragging, as I made the point a couple times that having sex wasn't actually part of my job.
I wasn't asking for advice, just thoughts/opinions, and I got those. =) But anyway, to be honest, while the rest of my job duties are accurate I'm not actually sleeping with my boss. What I've found interesting about my job is that when I explain it to people they tend to assume my boss will at some point want me to sleep with him if we aren't already, or that's the real reason I was hired. So maybe my real question is: Why do people think this? Is it just the nature of the job?
And for the record, my boss has never made me feel even a little bit uncomfortable, or given me the impression that he wants to sleep with me.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Am I to assume that I'm too young or naive to know whether someone's trying to sleep with me or not? Or in this situation there's just no possible way he's not?

At this point you are embarassing yourself...

Indeed - let's stop with the euphemisms and be accurate, shall we?
Because taking a nap with your boss would be so over the line...![]()

WHOA, WAIT UP . . . ! OK. Ummm, WTF? Am I now understanding you to say you ummm, poof, just made it all up? Oh, yeah, only the sex part. Are you or are you NOT having any kind of sex with your boss, now, or at any point in the past? You have said that sex was not part of your "job description," but you have stated very clearly several times that you are, in fact, having sex, and have given details. BIG DIFFERENCE. You cannot backpeddle now and try to have ambiguity save you. I totally am getting off the poon'tang train right here. Sorry, this is crap.

O.M.G.
...
... I so need to use that expression one day.

My boss just gave me the one eyebrow up as if to say 'why the *** are you laughing so hard?'
Haha, wow, sorry.
Okay, I'm not having sex with my boss. Glad we've cleared that up. So am I embarassing myself for posting something ridiculous, or... what, exactly?
Oh inara, you had me. You really did. I was ready to believe that you were a real person. I mean, it takes all kinds. But, alas, your back-peddling makes it clear that you are nothing but a troll.
I'm sort of sad.

sweetheart, the only thing you've "cleared up" is the fact that you will never again have an ounce of credibility around here.

If you're not embarassed, you should be, as you've demonstrated that you're confused beyond measure, a liar, a troll, or all three. Check out your own OP: "So about once a week we end up having sex after I wake him up,... "
This thread was fascinating in a soap opera kind of way, but now it's just sad.

Oral counts. Just sayin.
Where can I see 1/8th or 1/6th of a pie or angel food cake?
This is the best way to picture a portion of pie or cake: Draw a circle to represent the circumference of the cake or pie (9" pie? 10" cake?... Read more
