So I just realized I get paid to have sex

Quote  |  Reply

I start work at 6am every day by waking my boss up (as he's apparently incapable of doing this on his own). Now, we're both attracted to each other but can't actually date because of the inevitable opposition all the other folks at work would have to this (did I mention he's the CEO?). So about once a week we end up having sex after I wake him up, and it just occurred to me that since I'm on the clock starting when I get to his place I'm technically being paid to sleep with him.

So... while this pretty clearly makes the both of us just a touch unethical, I don't feel like I'm a prostitute because I'm enjoying it just as much as him and there's certainly no requirement (spoken or implied) that I do this.

Any thoughts? Should I just take my act to the streetcorner? I figured an anonymous internet forum was the way to go due to the nature of this topic.

I've come to conclude that this woman/man is sick in the head, and I propose that one of the mods lock this disturbing & tear-evoking topic.

Aw, come on, why not just have fun with my disturbed mental state? I'm thinking if I get pregnant I can use the potential for blackmail as leverage for all kinds of perks. Or just child support

It's been a trip, but I think we can all learn something  from today.

Bears repeating - just in case others missed it.

And some more info.

inara, i think you're going to find that nobody wants to play with you anymore.

Well done, pg =)

Though your guess at my reason wasn't quite right (I don't really mind if I don't get patted on the back, as evidenced by my ill-advised posts here). Maybe I just had a moment of paranoia that someone from work would be on this site and they'd figure things out, but at this point, eh, that's not really very likely.

So everyone can continue beating me over the head for my foolish choices, or for my trollish behavior. Whichever you prefer ;)

There is no paranoia because there is no job. You don't get paid to have sex, and I doubt you get paid at all.

@moscovite82

Don't tell me you actually cried over this junk.

Wow... I just joined up to get some info and help with my calorie controlled diet and I think I am going to like this site. It sure was interesting to read everyone's opinions even if it is a troll. Have a great day everyone. :-) chrys UK

Well, see that's where things get tricky. Mods tend to stick to the Posting Guidelines. And while this was a truly... special sort of thread, there's not much here specifically against the guidelines.

As a mod, my suggestion is... if the user or thread bothers you, stop replying. :)

I drive to his place every morning to wake him up (my job is basically "professional wife," apparently now with the sex).

"Professional Wife" is an actual job title? What else do you do besides wake him up and have sex?

..and i have thus discovered what my career aspirations are!

girl, if you can do it without becoming a headcase: rock on.

Original Post by inara_jade:

Haha, wow, sorry.

Okay, I'm not having sex with my boss. Glad we've cleared that up. So am I embarassing myself for posting something ridiculous, or... what, exactly?

oh. how disappointing.

This was 10 full pages of entertainment.

If Inara's story was true:  Keep going for it.  I would.

If Inara's story was false:  Good job, that was entertaining.
Wow, this thread was so amusing! I was all ready to give you advice and then you gave up the game! I think you proved your point, Inara, that people tend to assume the worst in your situation, if the replies you have gotten are any indication.

If I were in that situation for real, that would be awesome. If the boss was attractive, at least. And I was getting well paid.

To my mind, you're only a prostitute if you hate your job. And that's true of any job, not just the sexual kind.

Ever hear the phrase:

" Don't piss where you eat" yeah every thing is fine a dandy now, but what if you decide to stop sleeping with him, or what if he gets a new peice of tail, what if someone finds out and now you're the office whore.  SOOOOOoooo much could go wrong you shouldn't have done it the first time don't do it again.

Bridget Jones' Diary anyone?

..., but if the personal relationship doesn't affect the professional one and they're okay with it..

i might be wrong but i sort of cannot imagine how would this NOT affect the work relationship

Whats wrong with being paid to have sex? Sounds better then all of the other jobs out there. And think of all of the fun stuff that might come out of it. Dinners, accompanying him to events, maybe a delicious breakfast after your a.m grand slam. Besides, at least you know he is your favorite.

If your happy with you job and life, don't worry about it. If you feel awkward or uncomfortable then it is time you speak your mind or pretend to be busy after you pull him out of bed.

Also, you have a REALLY good case if anything were to happen or just save it for blackmail if you ever want a raise. You have so much power right now in your situation but use it wisely =)!

your job position is actually not even legit

How do you figure my position isn't legit? I have a job I go to five days a week that I'm paid wages for; I even have full benefits (take whatever pun from that you like). So do you take issue with my job title? I'm sure I can have my boss change it in the company directory to make you feel better.

I personally don't care about what she does in her personal life. I just think it's silly to walk on to a random forum and boast about it. Or in her case, pretend to have a shocking realization, but talk about how awesome the sex is and how much you love it.

There is no paranoia because there is no job. You don't get paid to have sex, and I doubt you get paid at all.

While I doubt you'll even be reading my response at this point, I have to wonder why you're so hostile toward my story (many people were, but you seem especially so), and where you got the idea that I was bragging. I was just posting a topic about something I found humorous in my life.

Maybe you're wishing you got laid in the morning too? ;)

Where exactly do you sense hostility from him? I sensed indifference. Get over yourself woman.
