Just yesterday I was able to fit into an old belt that was always too tight. YAY!!
What are your recent successes? I wanna hear 'em! ![]()
A coworker commented to me yesterday that my pants looked awfully baggy and suggested maybe they were a bit too big. I hadn't even noticed till she said something. I walked to the bathroom (where there are full length mirrors) and sure enough, they almost looked silly on me and I realized I probably should have worn a belt to keep them up.
This was really encouraging for me as I've only lost 11 pounds so far and feel like I've got such a long way (59 more!) to go.
A few days ago I put my belt up to the next notch because the old one was too loose. YAY!! I was so happy.
Also, I can now touch my toes and put my head to my knees when my legs are extended. That's a huge accomplishment for me.
Last one: I put on a really pretty, kind of revealing sundress I haven't worn in a year because I couldn't zip it. I zipped it up easily today and got a ton of compliments!!
I can tuck my small t-shirt into my jeans and nothing hangs over my belt, even when I am sitting down - leaning forward!
My daughter changed my Wii character (a Mii) so that it was thinner now to. LOL That just made me laugh. ![]()
Clothes fitting loser are the best! I went out and bought a couple new shirts that I know would not have fit as good a few months ago. fun fun fun!
I ran two miles without stopping today!
I recently went below 60kgs. That's the first time in my adult life that I have ever been at this weight! Right now I'm at 59kg and I can so see the goal in sight! 9 more kgs to go.. I've already lost 16kg (initial weight 75)
I'm so chuffed! And a lot of people have been coming up to me and saying how great I look :) that's always appreciated teehee.
I also have pants that fit me well a few months ago falling off my hips. But I'm going to wait till I get to my goal weight before I go crazy and splurge! And I have a ring that I always wore, but now it's actually so loose it's falling off. I'll need to get it resized :) I love all the tiny tiny things that make you go "Yeah, I'm on the right track"
da1gal, that's an awesome accomplishment, you must feel so good!
I got on the scale this morning and found that I'm now just 0.8 lbs from losing a total of 30 ... THIRTY!! I'm well out of the 180's, which I haven't been for about 5 years!
And to top is all off, when I was getting ready to go to a concert last night, I put on a pair of jeans that I've already had to take the inseam in by 1.5" to accomodate being in between a size 14 & 12, and they were loose ... so I tried on a favorite pair of size 12's that I've kept for 5 years (I'd always loved how they looked on me) ... AND THEY FIT! They fit fabulously, and I felt like a hottie all night!
YAAAAYYYY FOR ALL OF US! Good job, everyone!
Oh wow, lucky, lucky you, da1gal! I LOVE that feeling when you step on the scale and you're like, "FINALLY!" Right now I'm also aiming for 59 kilos, but the very last weight I want to reach is about 55 kilos. I really, really hope I get there, and that you keep up the awesome work! :D
I can fit everything in my closet, including clothes I bought four years ago. The only problem is nearly everything was too loose. I went shopping and I had gone from a size 28 to a size 18!
I finally am able to run a mile without stopping
I tried on my high school prom dress and it fell right off of me it was so big
I feel beautiful
twice in the last week people thought I was 10 years younger than I am! The first time at a boot camp training session a new guy thought he was the oldest. The trainer used to train me and knows my age, said she didn't think so. He said well I'm 52, and I laughed, "youngster! I got ya beat by 10, I'm 62!". The jaws of those with us dropped when they realized my age (felt good to see the look on the 25-35 yo women in the group!). Even with my grey hair, weight loss and working out, has me looking and feeling younger than I am.
astahissa
yeah i know! FINALLY i've been waiting and dreaming for so long i knew it was going to happen but when it did it felt so good.
You can get there and you will get there. just concentrate on eating well and living well and then you'll see results!
Tattooed_kitty,
isn't it the best when you can fit into something and you feel like a million dollars in it, because you know that what you are now is 100% your effort and your effort only. Makes you feel like you can conquer the world! Hahaha..
This morning when i looked in the mirror i saw that for once my tits were sticking out more than my tummy! It was always the other way around! And I wasn't even sucking my tummy in! Now i can't really keep my hands off myself, i just keep wanting to touch my smaller tummy, and my arms, and to touch my shoulder bones and hips that are actually apparent and more obvious now (less layer of fat covering it haha)
i broke the 160s!!!! Im now at 158.6 and in total disbelief of the scale
it feeeeels so good!![]()
Last night I wore the next sized smaller size jeans for the first time - -it felt amazing!
Stepped on the scale this morning, and I lost about 3.5 lbs since last time!
I also tried on a shirt that was skin tight a month or so ago, and it fits perfectly ![]()
WOW. These are all amazing stories, great work everyone, keep it up!! ![]()
My favourite pair of cargo pants now are way too big around the top, to the point that if I don't wear a belt with them they would just fall down round my ankles. Its a great feeling but also really annoying as they are my favourite trousers to go out in and were really comfortable.
11 kg gone so far so about 20 pounds, but still more to go.
Not buying any new clothes until my weight stabilises as can see it being a waste of money in a very good way :)
I noticed the other day that my hips, not my waist, are keeping my pajama pants on. :)
I had been paid a third party compliment. Somebody I work with asked someone that I work closely with what have I been doing b/c it looks like I lost a ton of weight.
I ordered a bathing suit online this morning. I finally took my measurements and when I compared them to the chart, I found out that I went down 2 sizes from last year!!! I wish I'd measured about a month ago (when I really started working out and dieting) but at least I have a reference point now! :)
Well, I'm not a clothes person, so I always buy them too big because I like comfortable things, but I'm totally a numbers person.
That being said, since the begining of april, I've lost 25 pounds. :) I'm super pumped.
I finally broke 145. 144.9 this morning. And I went through my shorts from last summer. None of them fit. One can be made to work by re-sewing the button to make them a smidge tighter - they're still really baggy, but that works okay with that fabric. The rest are gone, and I bought two new pairs two sizes smaller (at $15 each, two didn't seem overly extravagent).
