recipe analyzer...need help please!

Quote  |  Reply

does anyone know how you or if you can change the portions when having a recipe analyzed? i've entered information but am finding i can't change anything (ie i used 85% lean, but it automatically lists 95% lean) and when putting in taco seasoning, it puts the whole packet on there and takes credit for some 800 calories!!!! i can't seem to get an accurate caloric intake when doing these recipes...please help!!!

the little Help button at the top of the analyzer page is actually very helpful! Check it out. It explains how to link your item to the specific item of your choosing rather than the item that the program will default to.

Follow the instructions about pasting in the item number in brackets like this [12345] after your item.

You can also select Ctrl T on your keyboard which will open a new tab in your browser. You can research in one tab and work the recipe til it's right in the other.

Look up the correct item in another browser window.  Look up at the address in the browser address bar.  At the end of the address you will see a number preceded by an "i."  Put that number, without the i in square brackets after the description in your ingredient list.  It will insert the correct item.

enter:  ground beef, 85% lean [85514]

With the seasoning packet, you may have to put in the number of grams to get it to take.

If you will PM me a link to your recipe, or copy and paste the ingredients, I would be glad to look at it for you.
