I need recipes!  I am so tired of grilled chicken and steamed veggies -- and I know that a varied diet is important for me -- but I don't have any good 'healty' recipes at my disposal!  AGH!

I'm a student and poor, so I don't have a lot of extra money to buy 'diet cookbooks' -- and I haven't been having much luck on the internet finding a free place to get good diet recipes.

HELP!  Where do you get your ideas and recipes?  I'm about at my wit's end, and if I have to look at another chicken breast tonight, I think I'm going to cry!

I find a lot of great recipes at www.cooks.com - it has TONS of recipes, and also check out the recipe forum here!

www.kraftfoods.com is another good one!
arabella, there are lots of good healthy recipes on www.stonyfield.com, and more on www.whfoods.com.  i found the first site because i was looking for yogurt recipes.  so maybe you could try just searching by one ingredient, like "tuna" or something.

good luck!  and don't forget to use your own ideas to come up with stuff.  like, tonight i made a bean burrito using a whole wheat tortilla, pink beans, lowfat sour cream (i went to get nonfat but they were out), 2% shredded colby/jack cheese, lots of diced tomatoes, salsa, and chopped scallions.

for lunch, chopped spinach with tuna, chopped egg white, chopped avocado, shredded carrot, chopped scallions, chopped apple, a few!! chopped almonds.  and i added a little honey and raspberry vinegar to lowfat yogurt to make the dressing.  so---you don't really need recipes, you just need lots of imagination!!
Hey Bella,

Send me an e-mail (lizabeths@yahoo.com) with your e-mail address and I'll send you all kinds of yummies.  This is a big hobby of mine - I love to cook and and am always experiementing with new things.
Cheater,

You are my hero.  An email is on its way to you!

YAY
Big thanks to both sarahwells2 and Elin -- I checked out the sites that both of you mentioned, and I have bookmarked easily a dozen new healthy recipes that I want to try!

Thanks SOOOO much!  I appreciate your input!

Arabella

I am pretty bummed about food too but I did find a tortilla that is great.  I am glucose resistant so I am trying to keep my carbs as low as possible and protein high.  The name of this tortilla is La Tortilla Factory smart and delicious low carb high fiber.  It only has 50 calories per tortilla and I think it tastes better than regular tortillas.  It makes a good wrap too.  I have been using it for ham and turkey sandwiches.

Does anyone have a recipe for ice cream made with splenda?  I really like cold treats.
