Reclaim yourself! Recommit to fitness!

Quote  |  Reply
ok in my journal today I reclaimed myself!  I took new measurements and have set out on a new journey to get myself back to where I want to be-

PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY and EMOTIONALLY FIT!

After a tough winter and crappy Spring I decided I am taking Summer by the horns and going to make it memorable!  Im not going to sit and let life get to me, Im not going to eat junk food just because its Summer and I want to and Im not going to pull out Those clothes that were too big for me last year- I gave them to my MIL!!!! LOL

Instead I am going to eat healthy, Im going to kick my Booty by running, biking, hiking, lifting and whatever else that pushes me, Im going to drop inches and be the best ME that I can be and feel good about it!  Im not too worried about the weight because the inches of muscle that turned to fat bother me more than the 5-7lbs I gained back.  I know I can do it!

So my question is- Whoelse is with me?

Well I'm not reclaiming myself, but I am challenging myself to avoid all those pitfalls you mentioned.

You can do it. I've seen you do it before!
Me! :)

Count me in for:

dusting off my bike and hopping back on

lacing up my runners and exploring the new neighbourhood

showing my face in the gym again

taking time to breathe and enjoy quiet time
Awesome!!!!!!!!!
Totally with you on this one - it's all about perspective!!  I haven't stopped working out but I recognize that I am plateaued with my fitness - time to kick it up a notch as Emeril would say!!  :)
me too, me too!!  Walk a mile every day.  park as far away as I can to the store that I am going to.,  hide the remote control!! drink water water water.  it gives you more energy and helps in wt loss

love, Karen   have a God day!!
I am with you. I plan on being a runner by the end of the summer. I can already run for 10 minutes straight. By the end I hope have lost 16 lbs and have my leg muscles back. By then I hope to also be back swimming.
You go, girl!  I'm with ya!
I think it is time to get the stroller out and start walking !!! Besides i can't afford a new work wardrobe if i don't lose some weight by fall
*Jumps astride horse and lets it reer up*

Heigh Ho Slappy! Hooray!

*gallops away to pursue trinity of fitness*

Way to go girl!
Glad to see so many others motivated!  We can do this!
I had one of those days where I could have so easily talked myself out of my lunch time work out......but....since I said I was re-claiming myself to Amy....I went anyways and burned 300 calories on the elliptical - and now I feel great!!  The tiredness and sluggishness...completely gone!!  Move when you don't feel like it!! It's a great cure for laziness!!  :)
thats awesome!!!!!  You are great! You have to stay motivated....for yourself! :)
Hey everyone!!! I hope reclaiming yourself is going well. For me so far so good. Did another 15 minutes of running last night. 10 mintues straight with a 5 minute brisk walk then another 5 minutes of running.
Good job tiegurl!  I just got in from my 2 miles. I ran the first 2 minutes and decided I didnt stretch enough so I walked for 1 min. and then ran 8mins, walked 1min and ran 2 mins the first mile.  The second mile I walked most of but ran 4.5mins to make up for the 2 mins I walked in the first mile.

I ended up with 2 miles in 30 mins 53secs.  The thing is the fact that I got out there and did it!

We have to remember to listen to our bodies and do what it tells us.  Mine said to me ....your left calf muscle is hurting and if you dont stretch some, you arent going to run any....so I listened!

Hope to hear more accomplishments for today!
Alright, Go SlappY!!! WooHoo. Thanks
I had a very active day yesterday (Saturday and Sunday were catch up on much needed rest days). I went hiking, canoeing, swimming, and tubing! It was a blast!

Tonight I'm going to Dragon Boat practice for an hour and am trying to increase my water that I'm drinking today.
Alright good for you Tantek. Keep up the good work.
I'm with you...I need to stop pressing the snooze button through the morning time I have alotted for working out....get my lazy butt out of bed!
Plank, you can do it.
Going to try to get a run in the morning before the 4th events.  I have missed running the past couple of days due to the craziness but I will not let it stop me!

Everyone stay strong! Keep moving!!
