Recommend me awesome workout music.

Quote  |  Reply

I want you to give me the most earsplittingly loud and over-the-top rocking music you've got on your playlists. Anything that gets you pumped up. It's been getting difficult for me to up the ante when I'm listening to the same metal song for the third time in one workout.

I'll give you an idea of what I'm looking for

Chimaira - Cleansation: Cleansation is the best workout song on my iPod. I often find myself resisting the urge to headbang, and you will too.

Celldweller - The Last Firstborn: 8 minutes of techno rock goodness.

Drowning Pool - Bodies: Been listening to this day 1. Still gets me pumped.

Don't think this thread's just for me, recommend all kinds of songs for each other.

(sorry, I really have no idea where this thread would go. I usually listen to my songs on a bike, so I figured Weight Loss was my best choice)

hard rock is my cup of tea.  it gets me pumped and ready to go.  but that's my preference of music anyways ;-P
Screaming music. :-p I could recommend some good bands if you're into that sort of thing. ;-)
I love love love techno (progressive or trance) when it comes to working out, and some of the hip-hop songs I have been able to check the beat with the pace on the treadmill, so now I know that if I walk to the beat of a certain song... I am walking at 3.3 miles an hour.  Here's my faves...

-Believe, Diving, mainline, Until you love me-  by "4 strings"

-The Adventure-  by "Angels & Airwaves"

-Get Up, Like a boy- by "Ciara"

-What You Waiting For?- by "Gwen Stafani"

-We be Burnin- by "Sean Paul" (my 3.3 mph song)

-Give it to me- by "Timbaland"

-The Way I are- by "Timbaland"

I have pretty eclectic music tastes... but these are great (or at least I think so)
nicolek...what kinda scream music do you like? I like myself some nice screamin and hardcore music too!

I work out to 'Rammstein'. Du Hast is a good song to work out to.
Oooo, you totally like the same stuff I do.  Angry industrial/metal is great to work out to.

Seriously, try CombiChrist.  "This Sh** Will F*** You Up" is great; so is "Get Your Body Beat".

If you like trance or techno, PM me.  I've got more suggestions for you, and you'd probably have some for me too :)
^ Are you talking to me?

I'll check these songs out once I get some time later today, thanks guys.

ANGELS AND AIRWAVES IS AWESOME

Paramore - Crushcrushcrush

I listened to only that song for 45 min. when  I went running today. I never get sick of it.

I've got an 'excercise' playlist on my computer, which I listen to when I'm on my exercycle, so I'm going to recommend:

The Fratellis- Chelsea Dagger and Flathead,

You Spin Me Right Roun -Dead or Alive

Franz Ferdinand-Michael

Count in Fives- The Horrors

Cold Hard B****-Jet

Kiss You Off- Scissor Sisters

Sons of Cain-Ted Leo and the Pharmacicts

Trampled Under Foot- Led Zeppelin

Cherry Cola- Eagles of Death Metal

Billie Jean- Michael Jackson

Dancing Through Sunday- AFI

Hopefully there's something there which you like. :)

I like songs with attitude for my workout music. Such as Beyonce a lot because she has multiple attitude songs. " Say my name, Bugaboo, To the Left " Or any other songs that have the same attitude. TLC's " No Scrubs " It really doesn't matters so long as it's something with that general umpht. Shoot. Sometimes I just loop the same song, throughout my entire workout. Or Ciara, Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Brooke Valentine, Missy Elliot, Lil Kim, Trina, Kelly Rowland ect.  ( Girl fight, My goodies, One two step, Can't hold us down, here we go again ) Stuff along those lines because I like the beat to workout to.  I agree techo is fantastic for workout music. Lol Just pick something with a actual steady beat behind it. Even the music without the actual lyrics is great! The beat just keeps you steady in your workout.
I've come to dig Hadouken! Their stuff isn't that hardcore but it is pretty upbeat.
Let's see...
Sell Your Soul- Hollywood Undead (other stuff by them is good too, but isn't as rock based)
Pretty much anything off the "illusion of safety" album by Thrice
Haste the Day is pretty good. (no specific song...they're all good :D)
The Outsider- A Perfect Circle
More Human Than Human- White Zombie (the covenant remix is good too)
**** Incorperated- Nine Inch Nails
In My Dreams- With Broken Wings
It's So Simple- Saosin
Forever- As I Lay Dying
Lolita's Medicine- Legion of Doom
Try Honesty- Billy Talent
The Circus Has Brought Us Back to These Nights- The Fall of Troy
The Alibi of Tyrants- Ill Nino
uh, that's all off the top of my head for the moment.
if I come up with a list more amazing I'll get back to you.
>.>
<.<

You should give rob zombie a try.  And I also second the vote for rammstein.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and The Exies are ones on my iPOD that I listen to all the time while working out.

I also want to add to the list......Sick Puppies

Well I don't know if you like electronic type music but just in case you do these are the kinds of bands I like to listen to when working out- Nine Inch Nails, The Faint, Rage Against the Machine, Paul Oakenfield, Benny Benassi, Muse, Groove Armada, Daft Punk, Fischerspooner, Gorillaz, Fatboy Slim, The Bravery, etc. I also love classic rock- AC/DC is awesome for working out.

- Disturbed

- The Killers

- some techno/ dance mix

- AC/DC

- Linkin Park

Anarchy in UK - Sex Pistols

Leaving on a Jet Plane - Ramones

Numb - Linkon Park

Harder to Breathe - Maroon 5

CrushCrushCrush - Paramour

Calm like a Bomb - Rage Against the Machine

Unglued - Stone Temple Pilots

Sabotage - Beastie Boys

Thrash Unreal - Against Me!

Mr Brightside - The Killers

Sex Type Thing - Stone Temple Pilots
