That's a good question!  I'd love a referral too!

Well, what do you like?

I'm a big fan of Tae Bo and Turbo Jam (both of which are kick boxing style cardio workouts).  I also really like Power Yoga.

But there are so many others to choose from.  For good reviews, keep checking CC, but here are some other resources:

www.videofitness.com

www.yourexercisedvds.com

I also highly recommend looking into rentals - I love to try out new DVDs through Netflix, that way if I don't like it, I just return it.  Your local library might have selections as well.

Good luck in finding something you like!

I'm a big fan of Jillian Michaels Winning By Losing series. The 30 day shred is also good. This weekend I also tried Jackie Warner on exercise TV & it was no joke man. Her dvd just came out and I'm planning on getting it now. I do AT LEAST 2 of them (Jillian's) back to back before jumping on the treadmill and I've been quite happy (and really sweaty:) It will leave you feeling like you did something.

Turbo Jam is BY FAR the best workout I've ever done.  It's fun and you get good results..and it happened pretty fast for me too!  It was easy to stay motivated with it because of how fast the changes became noticeable.

I am using the Biggest Loser DVD, a neat Belly Dancing DVD and a Nude Tai Chi with yoga on it also, DVD. I'd recommend just searching Amazon or Barnes and Noble websites etc and see what they have that is about a particular exercise you like. I like low impact stuff and the Belly Dancing one has been fabulous.

I love Billy Blanks' Basic Training Bootcamp, the first in his Bootcamp series which features calisthenics and his own resistance bands (which I don't have yet).  It's really hard and really "fun".  I find Billy very inspiring.

Richard Simmons "Blast and Tone" you use dumb bells with it and its only about a 30 minute workout but it really has helped me so much. I do it about every other day, although I have moved passed the recommend amount of weights you are suppose to use. So far I've lost 39 pounds Smile. I should mention its not a cardio dvd, incase thats the sorta thing you were looking for.

I love Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone.  I don't bored with things.  I still love it, years later.

Baron Baptiste has some awesome power vinyasa yoga dvd's - as does ana forrest.

Well, I don't normally do workout DVD's, but some of CathE's stuff isn't bad - she uses proper weights in some of her series, making them good places to start if you aren't yet in the mood for making up your own routine from Exrx.net's instructions on how to  develop your own workout.

It's preferable to design your own workout around one of their templates, that way you make sure that you get a balanced and sufficient workout in the time you have available. And it's better to design a workout that is specific to your needs rather than using a generic program, but anything that motivates you to get moving and using your body is a good thing.

thanks alot I got some ideas. I will search around :)
